MARGINS: Left margin space or tab to where you want margin set and depress the mar L key. Sometimes the key has to be depressed as you hit the code key. If you want to move carrige to the left, go to margin hit margin release and bk space to where you want. Same with the right margin only use th R margin key. the lift of tape has a dull side and a bright side make sure the dull side is toward the paper then press and hold the code key and the = key to reset the typewriter also see page 6 in the owners manual
