What are your front channel speakers connected to? Or are you just using the TV speakers for that? Most TVs don't have a dedicated subwoofer output and that's a necessary level of pre-amp out to give the subwoofer proper low frequency signals. If you have an amp/receiver then it probably has a subwoofer output.
I would try going into the menu settings on your receiver to make sure that the subwoofer is turned on or that the volume is turned up. If it is a powered subwoofer you can try hooking the output of a phone or an iPod to the input cable just to test and see if you are getting sound through the subwoofer. If that seems to be working ok then you know the problem lies with the receiver.
Hi, I believe the sub is the wrong kind for your system. It should be a selfpowered sub one that you plug in to AC power and then connect to Hi/fi. You could do some damage to your system if you carry on with that. Good luck
Yes, if the TV has RCA-audio outputs, but TV audio electronics is hardly hi-fi; or get the TV-related audio from the cable/sat box. They always have RCA outputs. Jack them into the amp's input.
hi, everytime i switch on my sony hi fi it the display screen says protect push power. It won't let me do anything not even put cd's in. If you could help that would be very much appreciated.
Hi juicer, If you use the switched outlet, then everything will be turned on/off when you operate the preamp power switch. Use the unswitched, then you have to turn off each unit separately. You choose which one you want. It wont matter.
What connection do you intend to use to connect the LBT zx6 to the Onkyo preamp??
