Sony LBT-W5000 Shelf System Questions & Answers
Sony LBT W5000
According to Page 46 of the LBT-W5000 Operating Instructions:
"The display stars flashing as soon as you plug in the power cord even though you haven't turned on the system (demonstration mode).
Press DISPLAY (for LBT-W5000 / W300 / XB700 / XB500) or DEMO (STANDBY) (for other models) while the system is off. If the system is in the Power Saving mode, press POWER SAVE / DEMO (STANDBY) (for LBT-W5000 / W300 / XB700 / XB500).
The demonstration appears automatically the first time you plug in the power cord, or if there is a power outage lasting longer than half a day."
I tested this today, as my LBT-W5000 was in Demonstration Mode. It definitely works. The only catch is (at least on the W5000), and it's a minor one, you have to reset your clock afterwards.

SA-AX560 Gets Hot, when at idle.
short answer is: (first) 100% normal. (kept clean inside, vents not blocked, and lots of fresh are to it , not put in a box or shelf ,locked away fresh cool are can not reach the RIG. Technics SA-AX560 long answer never read. (it's all about electronics, details.)the amp free manual shows it can make 170watts to a pair of speakers and uses 120vdc even with inputs that are only 1watt to the speaker and wastes 120watts, doing near nothingbut if all inputs are disable, the amp goes to 2watt stand by, my guess is you failed to try that. first.also when it wastes 120watts (line power AC) we know that the AC/DC power supply Q752 board. part of this waste too. Lots! worst off all the huge Sound AMP IC in this rig, the data sheet for it is now lost. (google lost it or? is lost)so I can not tell you if the final sound amps are Class A or CLASS AB.both use huge power, and CLASS "A" biased amps use the most but the power is huge to the speakers and is the best at "distortion free" and does 85watts RMS per channel. RMS is true power (by name and acts) LONG ANSWER:THE AMP DOES HAVE a 2 WATT STANDBY POWER MODE.my guess not tested that. you.this is not a 2024 amp at all it is old. your amp is 24 years old today.NO class D amps in 2000 year. ive no idea what you looked at or touched. blind. and the amp is complex.Q752 will get hot as all 300watts of power passes though , this is the raw DC power reg. POWER PCB located.i see the prepower IC chips have a too hot pin that runs the fan control card, so with the prePA chips get too hot the fans speeds up.the Power amp transistors and the huge IC Called Sanyo RSU310R36p get hot.https://www.crutchfield.com/S-7nI7322XWHL/learn/which-amplifier-class-is-best.htmlI have 2 kenwood amps here both same Class "A" 100w per channel RMS power.it wastes lots of power to make pure clean audio power, it does. Just keep it cool, using fresh cool air, do not block vents any any why.mine uses 100watts doing nothing, at all. ( but no crossover distortion in the final PA)lean to use standby mode. 2watts in yours.per the manual;

The display does not work on my Sony CDP-CE375 CD Player.
troubleshoot the issue:
Reset the CD Changer:
Turn off the CD player.
Press the CLEAR button.
Simultaneously, press and hold down the POWER button on the CD player for 60 seconds.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, proceed to the next step.
Check for Error Messages:
If you encounter difficulty playing a disc and receive any of the following error messages, there may be an incorrect setting or a problem with the disc:
NO DISC
DISC ERROR
CD ERROR
TOC ERROR
Refer to the instructions supplied with your CD player to verify model-specific information and troubleshoot the issue.
Internal Component Repair:
If the display issue persists, it might be related to an internal component that requires repair.
My Sony model # MHC-V11 MAKES NO SOUND everything seems to operate but i cant get no sound from it
Troubleshoot this issue. Here are some steps you can follow:
Check Speaker Connections:
Ensure that the rear surround speakers are properly connected to the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver.
If applicable to your model, verify that the A/B speaker selector is set correctly. If the speakers are connected to the A speaker connection, the selector must be set to the A position.
Test Tone Operation:
Perform a test tone operation to check if the speakers are functioning correctly.
Increase the rear speaker volume or adjust the surround speaker settings to the maximum level.
Speaker Size Settings:
Try selecting a different size (small or large) for the rear surround speakers in the menu.
Surround Sound Mode:
Verify that the A/V receiver is set to a surround sound mode.
For Dolby ProLogic surround sound, ensure that the center-channel mode is set to NORMAL or WIDE.
If your source is a DVD or Blu-ray Disc player, check that surround sound is enabled in the player's menu.
The audio being received must be multi-channel.
Different Surround Sound Mode:
Try setting the A/V receiver to a different surround sound mode.
Source Content:
Verify that the source you are playing is encoded in surround sound.
Note that during periods of mainly dialog, most of the sound may come from the center speaker only, with audio coming out of the rear speakers when there is background or ambient noise.
Factory Reset:
Reset the unit back to factory default settings (consult your operating instructions for model-specific steps).
If applicable, follow the steps for calibrating the appropriate settings automatically after connecting the calibration microphone device.
Speaker Wires and Replacement:
Check and replace the speaker wires if necessary.
Consider connecting a different pair of speakers to see if the issue persists.
If you've tried these steps and the problem remains unresolved, I recommend seeking professional service.
My Sony DHC-FLX7D and DHC-FLX5D is not working due to humidity. Is it possible to repair it ?
steps to troubleshoot and potentially repair them:
Troubleshooting Low Sound or No Audio from Rear Surround Sound Speakers:
If you're facing audio problems, especially with the rear surround sound speakers, consider checking the following:
Ensure that all speaker connections are secure and properly plugged in.
Verify that the speaker wires are not damaged or frayed.
Check the speaker settings in the system menu to ensure correct configuration.
Inspect the speaker impedance and compatibility with the system.
If you're using wireless speakers, check their power supply and connectivity.
Refer to the operating instructions manual for specific troubleshooting steps.
Flexible Circuit Board Repairing:
If the issue is related to internal components, you might need professional repair. However, if you're comfortable with electronics, consider these precautions:
Keep the soldering iron temperature around 270°C during repairs.
Avoid touching the soldering iron on the same conductor of the circuit board more than three times.
Be gentle when soldering or unsoldering to prevent damage to the conductor.
Important Notice:
To prevent fire or shock hazard, avoid exposing the unit to rain or moisture.
Do not open the cabinet; refer servicing to qualified personnel.
Avoid installing the appliance in confined spaces like bookcases or built-in cabinets.
