Think of the 250 as 250 over 1. Now we have all fractions and can multiply all of the numerators (the numbers on top) and multiply all of the denominators (the numbers on the bottom), and simplify to the lowest terms if requires.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck.

Paul

SOURCE: multiplying exponential numbers

I am needing to find out what key I can push for an exponent. I have an exponent that is 2520 and I dont know what button to push for it.

The problem is as follows:

3000 ( 1+ 0.06/360) exp.2520

3000 ( 1.000166667) exp. 2520

3000 - 4565.72

Final Answer
1565.72

Now how in the world did they get 4565.72. What buttons am I needing to push.

  2. Multiply numerator x numerator, then multiply denominator x denominator.
Dividing Fractions:
  1. Make sure you're working with two fractions
  2. Flip the second fraction upside down.
  3. Change the division sign into a multiplication sign.
  4. Multiply top x top and bottom x bottom.
Converting Mixed Numbers into Improper Fractions:
  1. Convert mixed numbers into improper fractions.
  2. Take the whole (non-fraction) number and multiply it by the denominator.
  3. Add that answer to the numerator.
  4. Put that amount over the original denominator and you will have an improper fraction.
Method for Adding and Subtracting Fractions:
  1. Find the lowest common denominator (bottom number). For both adding and subtracting fractions, you'll start with the same process.
  2. Multiply fractions to match the lowest common denominator.
  3. Add or subtract the two numerators (top number) but NOT the denominators.

Can you help me on this question?

This answer is correct. 4/12 divided by 2/2= 1/3
The reciprocal of 2/2 is 2/2
Then you multiply straight across and reduce to get 1/3

What are improper fractions equal to 4 2/3?

I think of pizzas when doing fractions. If you cut the four full pizzas into thirds, how many slices will you have? Add this to the two other slices and you get your improper fraction.

So, to make an improper fraction, you multiply the whole number by the denominator and add it to the numerator. To get more improper fractions, you can multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number.

What are 4 different fractions that are equal to 1 1/2

Hi Anonymous,
You can make equivalent fractions by multiplying or dividing both top and bottom by the same amount, but only multiply or divide, never add or subtract, to get an equivalent fraction.
I've only shown the fraction part of your question as 1 is a whole number.
1/2 = 2/4, or 4/8, or 8/16 or 16/32 or 32/64 & so on.
Going the other way, dividing 2/4 by 2 will give 1/2.
But, only divide when the top and bottom would still be whole numbers, for instance you wouldn't use divide for odd number fractions, for example 1/3 or 3/5 etc.
Trust this helps, best regards Alan

How to convert percent to fraction

  1. Divide the percent by 100 to get decimal number.
  2. Count the number of digits (d) to the right of the decimal point of the decimal number.Example: 2.56 has 2 digits to the right of the decimal point, so d=2.
  3. Calculate the factor (f) for making the decimal number an integer: f = 10 to power d
    Example:
    f = 10 power 2 = 100
  4. Multiply and divide the decimal number x by the factor f: x * f / f = y / f
    Example:
    2.56 * 100 / 100 = 256 / 100
  5. Find the greatest common divisor (gcd) of the fraction. Example:
    gcd(256,100) = 4
  6. Reduce the fraction by dividing the numerator and denominator by the gcd value: Example:
    256 / 100 = (256/4) / (100/4) = 64/25
Example One percent is equal to one hundredth:
1% = 1/100
So in order to convert percent to fraction, divide the percent by 100% and reduce the fraction.
For example 56% is equal to 56/100 with gcd=4 is equal to 14/25:
56% = 56/100 = 14/25

Multiplying mixed fractions

Convert each mixed number (what you call mixed fraction) to an improper fraction, then multiply the two numerators and multiply the two denominators. Reduce the resulting fraction to its simplest form

Example
(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)=?
Convert 2 1/3 to an improper fraction 2 1/3=2+ 1/3 = 6/3+1/3=7/3
Convert 1 5/7 to an improper fraction 1 5/7=1+ 5/7 =7/7 +5/7=12/7
(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)= (7/3)*(12/7)= (7*12)/(3*7)
The 7's in the numerator and denominator cancel one another leaving
12/3=4
(2 1/3)*(1 5/7)=4
Not all products of mixed numbers will give a simple result as this one. More likely they will not.
