You will have to dismantle the cachine so that you have access to the motherboard . It is ited below the top cover probably. Remove the manin battery and the charger from the laptop before proceeding. Ensure that you are earthed. The battery shold be pulled away from the connection, it is unlikely to be a cell battery, then the new one attached , then close the machine up ensuring you connect all connnectors and replace all screws in the correct threads.
Do not touch circuitry you do not have to while completing the procedure.

Is it charging? Does it Fully Charge? When you say "not holding a charge", how long are we talking about? Minutes, Hours? Battery life depends on what your doing and what is running and other factors, Some aftermarket batteries aren't very good. Inexpensive batteries are cheap for a reason.

well your laptop should stay on when you take it off of your charger if its charged. Usually when someone has the problem it means the battery on their laptop is no good. This usually happens when you let your laptop die and lose all its power from the battery this can really damage your battery. Thats the only thing I can think that happened. Your probably going to need to get a new battery. I hope I helped you.

Laptop screen too dark when used with battery

Are you using vista or xp?..The laptops to conserve power will dim the screen , you can , however, change it to brighter by pressing the "fn" key which stands for "functions"key. while pressing that, you should have another set of keys either to your right or obove your left finfers with the symbol fo a sun with arrows pointing up and down..press the fn and tap the up arrow key to increase the brightness.

The laptop doesn't want to charge!!!

Is very possible that the battery is dead, Check the LEDs on the battery itself, sometimes you have to deattach the battery for can to see them.
If the LEDs blink or not light in sequence (one one, the next off and so on) then your battery is gone, if everithing seems to be right there then the problem is the charger, try with other one.
if charger is good then the problem could be in the circuits that manage the energy in the motherboard.

V25 laptop will not turn on from battery power

The problem associated with Laptop not being able to power from the Battery, even if the Battery is new, can be attribute to the mainboard charging Electronic. The charging electronic in Mainboard is perharps defect. If your laptop still have warranty, this is the best time to change the mainboard.If not, seek for a qualified technician to check the PC, run the system, make Bios Update, and have the mainboard checked.
