You will need to reset the lamp counter.
Begin with the TV powered off.
Point your remote towards your TV.
Press:
Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power.
Your TV set should now say “Loading Factory”.
Browse down to “Option” then press Enter (or the right cursor button).
NOTE: The Mute+1+8+2 buttons needs to be pressed down consecutively and fairly quickly. If your TV does not enter the service menu after using this combination, you can subsitute MENU instead of MUTE. This seems to work for some sets. Also, the right cursor arrow also acts as the ENTER button, so try it if you’re having difficulty with the ENTER button.
To exit the service menu, hit press the EXIT button or just turn off your TV (remember not to turn on your TV immediately afterwards!).

Have a Samsung HLP6163wx problem

Hey friend:
most probably' 1) either your lamp was NOT installed correctly, or
2) lamp is bad - (it happened to me once, so no sweat!) - in this case you need to return the lamp in exchange for a new one.
Please watch any of the 'how to change the lamp on a dlp tv' video demo available on YouTube. Its not difficult. I already changed mine 3 or 4 times. Thanks

Hlr4266w ballast

it is possible but more likely the lamp===remove lamp and examine it.

The glass pillar in the middle may be bent or warped and if so replace lamp if you have not tried that.

DLP TV lamp went out, new one doesn't work either,

Well you have a Samsung TV, in this case, it's most probable that you might have an issuw with your ballast. It might not have enough energu to keep up with your new lamp. You might ask yourself, How could this be if it worked with the old lamp? Well the old lamp didn't have all of it's gases, like it used, when you recently purchased the tv or lamp, and as time goes by, those gases tend to go out.

Lamp Light still on after replacement

First, A common mistake made is when you insert the orange ribbon cable from the Color Wheel into the DMD bd. To correctly insert the Ribbon Cable you need to look at both sides. You will see a shiny silver side and a dull black/orange side. You must insert the shiny silver side AWAY from the Color Wheel or towards the rear of the set. Now for the Ballast. When you power up the tv,Do you hear a short Buzzing sound? If you do that means that the Ballast is trying to fire up the Lamp and is working. Next, do you hear the Color Wheel spin up? If you do not then you have installed the Color Wheel incorrectly and you need to repeat the installation while making sure that you hold the rubber gasket in perfect place or else it won,t work. Chances are the gasket is in the wrong position and is binding the Glass Wheel. The Ballast is on the right side of the engine and on top of the Lamp Housing. You will see two RED High Voltage wires coming out of one end. Don't worry, there is no stored voltage in the ballast so you won't get a shock providing you have unplugged the tv from the outlet. That is the first step before you change any parts any way. Listen for the correct start sequence. With the rear backing off and the Safety Interlock Switch is being held in the up position, turn on the set. First sound you hear is a clicking which is the power on relay engageing. Then you will hear the fans turn on and then the Color Wheel spin up. Once the Color Wheel spins up and comes to full RPM then the Exciter on the Ballast will Buzz for less than half a second and then the Lamp should light up. Now if you have installed the correct Lamp and correctly installed the Color Wheel and you either are holding up the Interlock Switch or have reinstalled the rear cover and tightened all of the screws you should have a working tv.

Samsung 50" DLP Lamp died, new lamp will not light`

Bad news.  Mine did the same thing.  Mine is the 61", but the internals are basically the same.  I replaced the lamp and the problem was fixed.  Then after a couple days, it died again.  I replaced the ballast, to no avail.  Took it to the certified repair center and they said I needed a new DLP Light Engine.  They wanted $1250 to fix it, but I was able to order one online from partstore.com for $700 and fixed it myself.  No problems since.
Your certified repair center will charge a minimal fee to diagnose and then you can fix it yourself if you choose.
The easist fixes for the lamp problems are A) replacing the bulb and B) replacing the ballast.  Anything else, you'll want a certified tech to diagnose the problem.

Samsung hl-r5067w 50" DLP no picture

I have a solution for The United States of America! "If We Don't Make It, We Don't Need It".

Personally, I believe if we went back to actually manufacturing things in this country and stopped importing everything, a lot of these problems would STOP!

Think about it America!

Problem turning On

The lamp, ballast or dmd board can cause the same problem. Most commonly on these DLPs it is the lamp, but we have to use the process of elimination as well sometimes. Even as a samsung warranty center sometimes the flow charts don't help. The first thing I would do as a consumer is to vacuum around the ventilation holes behind set, these can cuase poor circulation and startup/shutduwn problems. Then with those type of lights flashing start by bidding for or buying the most inexpensive lamp you can get. Make sure exact replacement. Do not touch the glass on lamp when replacing. Then try the ballast which also has a part number on it and has only two screws when you have lamp removed from set. If still no luck, assume it is the dmd board and try pricing that baby. Not cheap! Then comes the decision. New set or repair this. This is what you can expect unfortunately. But I have the same set at home. Go figure.
