Go to phone menu find, caller id heading, there is an option for FSK & DTMF , if you are in india Select DTMF, if it doesn't work ask telephone seller to provide you with Fintel FSK to DTMF convertor.

On this system since it is an older NEC you will need to purchase some special boards that go into the system and then this would have to be programmed. This is not a task for the untrained.

You need a CI trunk card not a LS/DS trunk card for caller id.

I have had this phone (twin) for quite a few years . If your incoming line supports caller ID it should work immediately. I never had to activate this. I would check if caller ID on your line is working. Check with another phone if you can.
