Unplug all phone equipment and plug in one unpowered phone if you get DT the problem is the phone If not the problem is the line. If the problem is the line you will need to call the phone company to repair it. The phone company will charge to repair the line if it is bad in the house.

You dont activate caller id,when you get a call it shows the caller info,if it doesnt,check with your phone company to make sure you have caller id service.

A new battery wont fix it,try unplugging the power supply,replace battery,plug the power supply back in then try storing your numbers.
