The check wiring message suggests a short probably in a speaker wire. Check that the terminal leads for the speakers are properly covered in insulating tape. Check the rest of your wiring, if you can, to check for any section where the insulation is worn and could come into contact with anything. Next remove the faceplate and use a pen to press and hold the reset button. The button is near the bottom of the middle of the receiver.

If the error persists, then another section of the wiring is making metal on metal contact with the car or another wire. You should contact a JVC dealer or the company that provided the kit with the KD-R45.

I hope this helps.

The Touch will not work with the KDPDR30. I spoke with JVC and their models that will operate the Touch are KDPDR40, KDAPD49, KDPDR45, KDPDR41 and KDG47 the last two have a cable required.

How to reset jvc kd-r330

Detach the control panel. Check for a small hole with a reset button which can be only pushed with a carbon pen tip once to reset the unit. When the car is running keep this pressed for about 5 seconds. The unit will reset. Refer to the below web address manual page 3 for details & a diagram. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/449215/Jvc-Kd-R330.html?page=3#manual

My JVC KD-R426 keeps on saying warning check wiring and reset system. I've tried everthing but it still does the same. What must I do

Not sure if this will help any other owners since my answer is 4 years late, but this is what I found from another user. Apparently if you mess with the wiring too often, it goes in a safe mode which you need to do some button trickery to unlock the device from it's safe mode. These are the Steps.
1.Disconnect power supply
2.Press [MENU] and [UP arrow] buttons and keep holding.
3. While holding the buttons [MENU] / [UP arrow], connect the power plug again
A. The display will show "DC ERR"
*** if it still shows "Chk wiring ..." repeat the steps above until you get "DC ERR."
4. Press [UP arrow]; the display shows "DC1 ERR"
a. Press and hold [UP arrow] and it will show "DC1 OK"
5. Press [Down arrow], the screen will show "DC2"
a. Press and hold [DOWN arrow] and the display will show "DC2 0"
6. Disconnect the power from the back of the unit.
7. Remove the Face Unit.
8. Reconnect the power from the back.
9. Use a sharp object and press the [RESET] hole for 3 seconds and release.
10. Reinstall the face unit and turn on the power.

I have a jvc kd-r45 it will not recall any pre set radio stations after it is switched off and demo mode kicks in every time i start it up. Tried reset any ideas?

I don't think you have the memory keep alive wire attached to a constant 12V+ source. This is why it is not keeping set stations and reverting back to demo more every time it is switched on. Usually the memory keep alive wire is yellow.

"Reset 08" means the unit is not connected properly. Check the connection/connector.
