SOURCE: Static on my phones

Is the "static" actually the DSL on the other line? If the separate lines are run close together, some crosstalk can be experienced. Try fitting a DSL filter to your 'phone, if this stops it, that is the problem. What you do from there is up to you, but if a simple filter fixes the problem, why worry?
If the "static" is still there when a filter is used, it obviously is something else. Try a different 'phone on the line, 1 'phone only, if there are more than 1 or a computer or fax machine on the line. If it is still present, you may need investigation by your provider.

The three most common solutions to this problem:
  1. Change your "Channel" on your wireless broadcasts to on. Then change your channel to either 1 or 11, this should speed your download speed up.
  2. Check your broadcast settings to see if its set to "G", "B" or "Mixed". The Mixed setting usually works the best, but try all three to see which works best for you.
  3. You have be getting interference from microwaves, cordless phones and wireless keyboards/mice. Make sure they are turned off or not in the general area

Wireless router disconnecting

CONTINUAL DISCONNECTION OF WIRELESS CONNECTION
There are a few things that can cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router.
1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move the wireless router away from walls and if possible locate the wireless router higher up.
2. Have you secured your wireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? ie. change the default password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID, and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC address filtering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s to connect to your wireless router.
3. You could be getting interference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, arid welders, washing machines etc. If so the power supply to the wireless routers and computers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, better still connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
4. Check the channels of the wireless routers and access points in your area and change the broadcast channel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that is currently used but has the weakest signal strength. This will minimize interference with your wireless router from other wireless routers and access points in your area.

Can the digital recording be cleaned; I get lots of static on a recorded message?

There's nothing in your recorder to clean, but. . Static in the message likely indicates a problem with the phone line itself, or at least the connection from the phone line to the recorder. You can clean that.

Error code 204038

The Wii console was unable to connect to the Wii Shop Channel.

  • Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
    • Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
    • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.
  • There could be a temporary network issue with Nintendo's servers. Please wait a few hours and try to access the Internet Channel again.

  • If the above steps did not resolve your issue, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.

GE Dect 6.0 Cordless - Loud Static

question is are you running a pc and router/ modem on the same land line
if so you will need the line filters to the phone base
the computer data is transferred by the same land line and there is every possibility that the different frequencies is what is causing the static
reference from a uniden trouble shooter ( will be common as the phones use the same medium)
lots of noise or static on the line === possible solutions --check for interference from appliances ( microwave , tv etc ) or wireless devices ( baby monitors wifi equipment etc)
move the handset base away from the source
if you have any device that uses the phone line , add a DSL or telephone line filter to the system

it is possible from the times you state that the interference could be coming form a neighbour or further down the line so the filter may be the option
available from phone shops or places like JAYCAR

Radio static only but meta data displays

There will be static. A lot of my passengers are surprised that there is static on satellite radio, but there is. Your Sirius satellite receiver "broadcasts" to your car's FM radio through a frequency you select. For example, the Sirius channel on my car radio is 89.1, which is pretty clear and works pretty well on my regular commute. But if I drive beyond that route, where 89.1 is routinely used by regular broadcast radio stations, there is a lot of interference and static. I then have to switch frequencies on both the receiver and car radio, to find another clear channel. Quite a pain. There will be interference. Even the smallest bridge, tunnel, or parking garage often seems to block satellite reception, and occasionally the signal will completely disappear for no reason.

I DID TONS OF RESEARCH FOR YOU ABOUT THESE RADIOS. THE SAME PROBLEM YOU HAVE ARE FOUND BY 100'S OF OTHERS. IT'S THE COMPANY THEMSELVES HAVING DIFFICULTIES.
