Hi, I have a 14 year old Bosh WTL 5500. It has been brilliant but it now refuses to complete the usual program I use: cottons, lightly dry. It stops after a few minutes leaving the washing wet. Cottons, cup board dry works fine but leaves the washing too dry, so I don't like using it. Do you think this would be economical to repair? Thanks IR

My Frigidaire FFBD2406NB7B dishwasher stops mid cycle, high temp and heat dry lights are flashing, does not drain completely.

Hi Vince!

Your owners manual should tell you what that pair of flashing lights mean, but I suspect it is because the system that detects water level has become clogged with debris and the DW is telling you it refuses to proceed without an accurate water level reading.

Level measurement systems vary but are usually in a float chamber on the side of the unit. Search for an "exploded" view (usually available at part supplier sites) for more 411.

Hi. My Bosch WTL 5500 wont start. It has power and filters are clean. When you push start the dry light comes on and nothing happens. Any ideas?

there is a thermal reset button at the back of the unit on the heating element. to get to it you have to remove the back panel that covers the heating element. (its the panel that sticks out). Once that panel is removed you will see the red thermal reset button. press it so it clicks, then start unit. Let me know what happens.

Hi, I have an BOSH dishwasher SGV4313gb/17. It is about 8yrs old and has worked fine until last week when it did not complete its cycle. Have reset and it seems to complete cycle but I don't think it...

Are you using a rinse aid? if so and teh dishes are still not drying properly, try adjusting the setting for the rinse aid dispenser. Open the door of the dishwasher, open the flap where you pour in the rinse aid and look for the cirlce with the arrow and nunbers on it. If it is set low (1 or 2) try turning the arrow to a higher number. If that adjustment doesn't work, increase again and again until the dishes are dry.

Bosch WTL5400 Drier runs fine for 5/10 minutes, then it stops and the "start" light flashes. Pressing this then restarts the process, but a few minutes later it cuts out again. I have checked...

I have the same problem, the dial to select the dry program is making a bad contact causing it to stop. Try using a different program.

I tried to clean the dial but it didn't help.
