You can take plumbers tape and wrap about 5 to 8 turns around the shaft threads and put blade on and cap. (Plumbers tape is white plastic tape on a roll with a pop off cap like medical tape comes in)

If it's a major manufacturer of appliances you can use any parts supplier like, 1st Source Servall, All Appliance Parts, Marcone. If it's a off brand you have to go back to the manufacturer for there local supplier. Just Google the name and model number. Good luck

There is not actually a top tank, just a drip tray with little drain holes that become easily clogged. After removing the rear cover of the unit and cleaning thoroughly, you can use a can of air (like the ones to dust pc's) wth the little straw attachment to try to clear te clogged drain holes in the tray below the evaporator. If your unit froze up condensate may have overflowed into the fan area. Let the unit defrost, and run it in fan mode for awhile to dry this moisture out.

replace the plug, its only like $8 and is super easy, all you need is 2 wire nuts, some wire stippers, a new plug, and some electrical tape, and you probly (if u can) should replace it al the way not place in it, if thats the case all you need is a screwdriver. and to open the port. good luck(if the plug has a fuse replace it)

Unfortunately, Al, Windchaser has been out of business for about 6+ months and finding replacement parts are like looking for a needle in a haystack.There may be a substitute for it, but it would mean reprogramming or replacing the receiver in the unit. In my searches, I have not been able to find a universal replacement for AC units. However, there is one place you might try

Sadly this company seems to be out of business, parts unavailable. You can get a little creative and make the pieces you need from off the shelf parts at lowes. I used a plastic pumbing fitting, some vent hose, two small metal brackets, zip ties, and thick foil tape to seal it.

I have a Windchaser fan mode FTR184 also and it is in the same indicator STANDBY mode and now it will not come on and we have the remote, how do you fix this?
