Question about Windchaser Heating & Cooling

I was given a Windchaser PACRWC-HP by a friend. It has no directions on how to assemble and/or use. Where can I get this info?

Here s a link to the Owner's Manual that you can download and print for future reference. Take good care of your unit, as Windchaser went out of business about 4 or 5 months ago. And with it went all the repair parts.So follow all the recommendations for Routine Maintenance listed in the Owner's Manual.

I have a PACRWC-HP. We only use it for short periods during Seattle summers. Now in it's third year, it does not evaporate the water filling the small overload every hour. Can it be fixed or should...
Jerry, Windchaser has been out of business for about 5 or 6 months. So, if it requires parts to fix the problem, it will difficult to find them. But, before you properly scrap the unit, check several of the things, that may be causing the problem.

1. The air intake filter may be dirty or clogged. Remove and clean thoroughly, if necessary.

2. The exhaust hose may be drooping from the unit to the window outlet. This allows condensation
to accumulate in the hose, rather than exhaust out the window.

3. Obstruction in exhaust hose will cause the same thing as in # 2. Remove the hose check & clear
any obstructions, as necessary.

Do I need to recharge coolant once in while?
Under normal conditions, refrigerant or freon need not be recharged or replenished. Refrigerant is contained in a "closed loop" that consists of a compressor, expansion valve, evaporator coil and condenser coil. If a leak developes as a result of damage to any of these components, the refrigerant will escape as it is under pressure. The leak will need to be located and repaired before refrigerant can be returned to the system. An unsufficent refrigerant level is always an indication of a leaking system, but; an A/C unit that fails to cool the air is not always a sign of a low refrigerant level.

obviously condensate sensor is fault. You may need to replace it. Yes it okey to turn it on now.
