SOURCE: Waste Toner Light won't go off?

The waste toner is usually a bottle near the toner cartridge which collects excess toner powder from the cartridge. It is usually present in more heavy duty laser printers, not all printers have them as a replaceable supply. You would need to refer to your manual for replacement instructions, they vary from printer model. For this machine, the Waste Toner supply number is #420131. In the case of the first poster, my best guess would be there was spillage of toner on the sensors to detect the waste basket overflowing, hence why the error message is constant. This would require cleaning of the sensors, a relatively simple task but for proper access, the machine would need to be partially disassembles for thorough cleaning. It would be best done at a repair centre.

SOURCE: Ricoh CL3000 Laser Replace Waste toner

Couple of things to try: - If you just emptied the waste cartridge then you have to take the bottle back out and clean the insides as well. The sensor sees the toner on the walls and still thinks it?s full. FYI as typical the manufacturer recommends replacing the bottle with a brand new one. - If not that then you may have toner covering the optical sensor. Try blowing the area where the waste bottle attaches to the printer with canned air. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.

SOURCE: waste toner tank full/not install keep displaying

The sensor for the waste toner tank is dirty or defective. The toner sensor is on the right as you look at the panel just below the liquid crystal display. There is a bump in the clear plastic just below the circular right vent port, that's where the used toner pours in. When you clean out the toner cartridge there is some residue left that makes the sensor think it's still full. Take a piece of paper towel and a small screwdriver (I'm told a bent coat hanger will work, too) and clean the inside of the sensor window inside the used toner cartridge (w/ access through the toner port). It looks like a little raised groove on the right. Just wipe it until it's clear on the inside. The sensor can now see through the window and you should be okay. Otherwise, the sensor may need to be replaced by an authorized Samsung technician. Let me know how it works out!

SOURCE: Waste toner message will not clear.

sir,

You open the front cover, there you can see the plastic bag. on the side of the cover you can see the intruction regarding the removing and refixing. actually it will be in white like colour and having a black bottle cap.

And also after you taken the waste toner catridge. you can see one sensor below a pipe like that which is projecting from the drum unit , it is the waste toner path. Inside this the waste toner auger will be there. you just clean the sensor because you may also get the waste toner error by the sensor.

1. sensor below the auger after the waste toner catridge.
2. waste toner catridge outside and inside. dispouse the toner and also clean the otside part will cloth , beause some projections some holes like that will be there. i told na that sensor will be passing the signals through this waste toner catridge projection. If any toner in that projection then also the same. Be causreful while you are disposing the toner. You may intake and also your properties may be having the black coating like that.

any clarifications mail me at [email protected] .

SOURCE: Waste Tank Full - Solid Red Light

had the the "tank full" problem for a while. I was taking the unit apart and using my air compressor to get it working...not knowing exactly what was being cleaned to fix it. Saw the sensor issue in this thread and clean the clear part of the tank and the sensor on the left wall...but could not find the 2nd receiving sensor. Finally found it and it was filthy. This sensor is located in the housing that holds all the toners. You have to the pull this housing out by the green handle. Once out the sensor is not visible b/c a piece of plastic drops over it when the housing is removed. basically this hidden sensor will line up with the other sensor and the clear plastic in the waste toner cartridge. hope this helps

Lanier 6720 U14 error on screen

U14 is a user code for waste toner full.
Open front cover and you will see a clear plastic bottle at the bottom of the machine; lift this out and dispose carefully of waste toner (do not reuse). When fitting back into machine, make sure that inside of bottle is clean as the detection sensor looks through the bottle to see if it is empty and if toner is covering inside of bottle, the message will remain.

How do i empty a waste toner bottle on a lanier color copier

What kind of copier is it? On many of the Lanier color copiers, the waste toner bottle is located on the lower left side inside the front door.

Turn the copier off first. Pull the big front door open and turn the bottle with the oil to the left -- the waste toner bottle is the plastic gray tank behind that. Slide it out (carefully) and dump it in a plastic trash bag, then reinsert it.

If you have a different kind of copier, please specify the model and I'll tell you how to get to the waste toner bottle.

Lanier Copy Machine 3635

Is this a small table top model? They usually do not have a waste bottle. The waste toner accumulates is the drum housing Where hopefully the change drum warning will come on before the waste toner fills up and causes poor copies. I have taken the drum asm apart and vacuumed the toner out.
