I went out to my circuit breakers and turned the circuit off, let the oven cool, and powered it back up after about 2 hours. Fine now.

SOURCE: f2 code

Hi, this will occur if the oven control senses the oven temperature above 915F-930F

If actual over temperature condition occurred: Look for welded relay contacts. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred: Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective. Check door lock switches.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit , not actual oven temperature.

Frigidaire 2, yes it is old Shows error code F96 after cleaning?

We notice on this site that using the self cleaning cycle with break ovens about 50% of the time. Heating to 650 - 700'F is just too hostile to door locks, elements, fans and electronics boards.

You can't clear the F96 code, you have to fix the broken part. Start by disconnecting the power overnight by way of a reset. Then try testing the door lock with a test meter.

This code usually means that there is an issue with the upper cooling fan circuit or there is an obstruction in the cooling fan. ... This code usually means that a component has failed somewhere in the door lock circuit. F96. This code usually means that an internal component needs to be replaced.

Ultimately, you may need a service call, or because of age, invest in a new stove. Good luck though.

Oven door locked - display shows F5:E7

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
These codes normally show up during the cleaning cycle this is due to the extreem heat used during the self clean operation
Now to fix this is not too hard providing the sensor for the temperature has not been damaged due to the heat
Unplug the oven and leave it sit for 1 hour and do not touch there is a internal reset feature on these ovens that take 1 hour to reset once the hour is up plug in the oven and you may hear a audiable click sound or a buzz sound if so great then all you have to do is to press the cancel or off button then after 5 min attempt to unlock the door
if it does unlock and one of these error codes are still showing this means the the controle panel has suffered some damage and needs to be replace
I have seen brand new ovens have the controle panel fail after the first self clean operation because the parts inside of it fail due to the extreem heat ok?
Hope this helps
Best regards Michael

Replaced control panel and keypad 1 1/2 years ago seen the error codes now I was self cleaning oven everything went off no error codes or anything house breaker ok PLEASE help.

Self clean is hard on controls. I do not recommend self clean. Kills expensive parts. If the temp goes above 300 in the control panel, a control panel fuse will melt, killing the power to the control.

Error codes E1 F2 whirlpool super capacity 465 oven

HI. This code is a good indication of a separated key pad ribbon or the actual key pad may be damaged. Use the procedure below to isolate the culprit.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Self cleaning oven error code FSEO

Probably a bad door lock solenoid. That is some kind of door lock problem. Trouble is they are not all the same. This training manual shows locations of model number. Perhaps if you post that I might can come up with a tech sheet and you would get a better answer. see page 4
