Well how do know that? if you have gauge dose it show any thing is there any Freon? is the compressor on? if not that is your main culprit. are there filters on the freon lines? there is a metering piston at evaporator on the High side. go to the Schrader valve see if any freon come out.

Freezer bottom was punctured and I think freon has leaked out. I don't want the freezer, anyway. Just turned it up to maximum. Will this freezer thing affect the refrigerator function?

The Freon runs through a compressor and it's what actually cools the inside of your freezer, so yes, it makes quite a difference. It's the difference between it circulating warm air or circulating frigid air.

Rear a/c not blowing cold, front works fine.

If the front blows cold it would suggest that the freon level is ok. However, if the freon is low, it still may blow somewhat cold in the front and less adequate in the back. Have you had the pressures checked to verify the charge is ok? Does the rear fan motor work? There also may be a restriction or defective expansion valve in the rear causing little/no freon circulation. Another problem could be a defective/stuck blend door in the rear causing the cold air to not circulate

Troubleshooting relay

There is a pressure switch in the a/c system that shuts off power to the compressor when Freon gets low. This is done to prevent running the compressor and locking it up, as the oil circulates with the Freon. Get your Freon checked.

Air condtioner has a bad smell causing headache

Whether as a gaseous or liquid coolant, Freon aids in refrigeration, air conditioning and maintaining aerosol contents under pressure. Not only can this toxic chemical expose the earth to excessive ultraviolet rays, but the substance can also sicken those who inhale it in an enclosed atmosphere.

Detecting the signs and symptoms of a Freon leak will protect lives, ground water and air quality.
Cardiac arrhythmia can signify the presence of leaking Freon. A person without a history of irregular heartbeats might suddenly detect heart palpitations and faulty blood circulation upon exposure to a Freon leak. The blood circulation problems may also lead to numbness in the limbs.

General Illness
  • A Freon leak can cause nausea, headaches, bouts of regurgitation and general disorientation. Confused thinking and trouble walking or coordinating movements also may result. Severity of illness depends on the amount of Freon released and the length of time exposed. A fire department can provide solutions and guidance for anyone detecting a Freon leak and suffering from its effects.

Ice buildup in bottom. Poor cooling.

maybe freon overcharge or oil stuck up in the tube causing not to circulate the freon gas.

Ac works fine except when i exclerate or go up a hill, it seems to cycle or stop blowing...then the continues to work fine but this is happening more often . I just got my ac repaired 3 months ago. it...

sounds like u still have a leak and need to have freon added or wasnt fully charged --when ur at idle or lower rpm the compressor will circulate the freon fine and will not cause a problem when u put a load uphill passing or increase the rpm a little more the compressor sucks more and circulates more freon which gives u a lower suction pressure if the suction pressure gets to low the the a/c protects itself and the engine by turning off [low pressure safety] cycling if had done 3 months ago bring back and have tested or u can buy some freon and add to ur system yourself

Air condition is blowing heat even on a/c and it's full of freon/coolant! also where is the throttle position sensor located?

Number one, freon and coolant are two different items. Freon is what is circulating in your A/C system to cool the air, coolant is what is circulating through your radiator to keep your engine cool. So which one is it full of. In order to check your freon level you need to put a set of gauges to you high and low pressure line fittings for the A/C or take it to an A/C repair shop to have the system leak checked. Also make sure the A/C compressor's clutch is cycling when A/C is turned on. Now about the T.P.S. (throttle position sensor) I'm not to sure, each vehicle make is different. You can go to auto zone and purchase the book for your car. It runs for about twenty bucks and will tell you where all sensors and switches are located for that make and model.

    Where does freon go?

If freezer is working the freon is fine. There is a air flow problem. Air has to circulate between the frig side and the freezer side to cool it.
