SOURCE: My foodsaver Vac 420 Vacuum Sealer won't heat and

This is likely happening because the unit cannot detect that a vacuum has formed, and because of this, the unit will not seal the bags, with the gaskets around the vacuum channel being the probable culprit. The Foodsaver gaskets will deform and/or dry out with time, just like in any device, but you don't necessarily have to replace them. I've tried this inexpensive solution on my own Foodsaver V2490, and it works perfectly.
Buy some food-grade silicone grease and apply it to both the upper and lower gaskets. I remove the gaskets and coat both sides with a thin layer of grease before replacing them in their respective channels. And since this grease will be absorbed and/or dry out with time, you will have to do this occasionally, so I also flip the gaskets (i.e. turn them over) whenever I apply the grease.
You can buy a 2 oz container of silicone grease at any dive store, or you can buy it over the Internet by searching for "Trident silicone grease".
This is a link where you can buy it for around $7.00:
Dolphin Dive Center
I do not work at this dive center, but I am a scuba diver and already had some grease that I use for the numerous rubber gaskets in my gear. The 2 oz. jar will last you several years, and you will find many other uses for it around the house since the grease will last longer than a spray.

Foodsaver vac 800 vauums but won't seal, sealer works with seal-only setting.

Chances are that you foam gasket are not doing their job anymore. You can make a test by humidifying them with a paper towel. If it's works, you are due to replace them. They will usually last about 2 to 3 years depending on the use.

They are available through ebay or Amazon

Has lost suction power

The "fan blades" will get clogged with a fine layer of "micro dirt" with each use. Scrubbing it gently with an old toothbrush and some 409/windex/fantastic will greatly improve the efficiency of the unit.
If it was a sudden loss of vaccum, check to make sure there is a good seal between the vac and the water canister. There is supposed to be a foam seal there on some (possibly all?) models. If that seal is missing, you will have almost zero vacuum.
Hope it's one of these fixes!

Don´t know how to take my Rainbow apart.

Your model is a bit newer than mine, but on mine, I have to peel off the foam rubber gasket that seals the canister to the top of the vac when you put it together. You will have to replace this gasket once you peel it off. Under the gasket are the screws that hold the top cover on.
Hopefully your model is similar to mine, and this is the answer you need!

Vacuuming up water with Shop Vac model 84M200

when picking up dry materials use the foam sleeve that slips on and the blue cloth (assuming there all blue) over it, there should be a ring that slides over blue cloth to hold it in place over the foam sleeve, for wet pick up u can use the foam sleeve minus the blue cloth but let it dry out before picking up dry stuff, you can pick up both wet and dry with a cartrige filter that looks simular to a car air filter and it slips over the foam sleeve, but let it dry out after picking up water before picking up dry cause itll just clog it up

Using shop vac 52722-90 for wet applications

yes, the foam filter is what you should use, also make sure you remove any bag, or paper filter, the water would make it fall apart.
