GOD IS still GOOD !!!!
DRYER OVERHEATING:

Heating Element
A defective heating element can make a dryer too hot. If the element partially shorts out, it can produce heat all the time, regardless of whether the dryer is calling for heat. Remove the heating element to inspect it. The coils should not be touching each other or anything else.

Other Causes and Conditions
Air Flow Problem
Dryers need good ventilation to work properly. If the vent is clogged it can make the dryer too hot. Clean all of the vent tubing thoroughly.

Cycling Thermostat
Although not common, a defective cycling thermostat can make the dryer too hot. The cycling thermostat is supposed to turn on and off the heat to maintain the proper temperature. If the thermostat is defective it may keep the heat on too long. The thermostat is not adjustable or repairable, it must be replaced.

Felt Seal
Most dryers have a felt seal at the front and rear of the drum to keep the heat inside the drum. If the felt seal is worn away or missing, the dryer may keep heating and make the dryer too hot. This is not common.

Blower Wheel
A defective blower wheel will not spin properly and will not vent the hot air, making the dryer too hot. Check to see if there is adequate airflow out of the dryer.

SOURCE: dryer takes more than one cycle to dry clothes

Did you clean the entire length of the vent ducting? Or, did you only clean the lint trap on the dryer and the exhaust vent outside? If you didn't clean the ducting as well, you may still have a clog somewhere causing your dryer to be "starved" for air. A dryer needs proper air flow to dry properly. One way to check is to turn the dryer on and go outside to the exhaust vent opening. Feel to see if you have sufficient air flow. If the air flow is weak, you have a clog. If not, you may have a high limit thermostat cutting off prematurely, not allowing the heating element to heat long enough. Check your ducting first and let me know if this helps.

Sounds like the vent is clogged with lint. You should have the vent cleaned once a year to keep the appliance operating properly. Also, make sure there are no kinks in the vent line.
Good luck!

Clothes do not dry completely on one cycle

Check your dryer vent (the entire length) for lint build-up. Check that the vent is opening properly (the flapper type can come loose and block air-flow).

Those are the most common reasons for an inefficient dryer.

I hope this helps.

(we have had the vent get blocked by the flapper)

Sometimes dryer will heat right, next time it won't

You more than likely have a buildup of lint in the vent hose. Even what looks like not much lint in there can cause the dryer to have issues drying the clothes. Clear the hose out really well, take it outside and shake it all out, then hook it back up and give it a shot. If that doesnt work you may have a bad thermal fuse which regulates the dryer temperature and you will need to have it replaced.

My dryer whirlpool wed5300sq0 is getting hot but clothes arent dry

I suspect you have a blocked air vent. A blocked vent will definitely extend your drying time. You may even find yourself having to run a load twice to get it fully dried. One way to confirm this is to disconnect the vent hose from the back of your dryer and dry one load with the machine venting directly into your laundry room. If that load dries quickly then you know the problem is a blocked vent. Most vents get blocked by lint near their exit to the outside. There's usually a screen at this location to prevent small animals from crawling into your house. Often this screen gets clogged with lint. Most vents are designed to allow removal and cleaning of this screen from the outside.

Duet front loader dryer

Check the lint trap and the vent. If the vent is clogged or crushed in anyway then replace it with a new dryer vent.
There reasons why a dryer will not dry clothes:
Clogged Lint Trap
Crushed or clogged vent
Last but not your issue, not getting and heat to the unit due to glow ignitor bad or no gas supply or bad gas valve.
So check what I told you and this should fix the problem right away

My whirlpool duet dryer is taking 3 cycles to dry????

have you checked your lint trap to make sure that it is clean after every load? Also the lint vent to the outside may be clogged and will not let the dryer vent like it should. This is dangerous. So check and replace if needed.
