Manual ge p7

You should be able to access the clock from the back panel. Make sure the power is off and you can disconnect the power to the clock motor. Tape off the wire to prevent it shorting out against the case. generally the white wire is the neutral and can be safely disconnected without affecting the clock operation of the oven. Some clocks also control the oven operation. Make sure that you are not disconnecting this feature.

I have a Simpson electric oven with stove top elements, and one of the burners will only cook at the highest level, I cant figure out how to change it, any suggestions?

You need to change the "Simmerstat", take the model number to your local electrical parts supplier/parts counter at your local stove retail shop that sells Simpson stoves and ask for one for that model, make sure you get the right one for the position as some control a single element and some control dual elements.

*** TURN OFF THE WALL SWITCH AND ENSURE NO POWER IS APPLIED TO THE STOVE BEFORE PROCEEDING ****
Remove the upper back panel of the stove. Swap wire for wire of the old simmerstat to the new one, remove the knob from the old Simmerstat, undo the nut securing the simmerstat in the oven control panel and discard, fit new one, secure, fit knob, fit back panel, turn on wall switch and test.

Some countrys/states require registered electricians perform this task on electrical appliances so you must ensure you can do this legally before you start and take the relevant safety precautions and don't electrocute yourself.

Timer shows F30

I had the same F30 error problem but fixed it. On my professional series Frigidaire, there are 2 resettable red button locations. I discovered that only one is in the rear of the oven. After going to the breaker box and shutting off the power, pull out the stove enough to work, unscrew the rear screws (I didn't unscrew all of them, just enough to work back there). The small red button is on a small black round piece with two purple wires feeding to it. That was not my problem. Mine was the other red button behind the control panel. Pull off all 4 knobs, unscrew by hand the large black rings that are underneath the knobs, pull out the whole panel. Look back and right (below where the right knobs were located) to find the 2nd red small button. Push to reset. Check this one first since it is easier to do.

Fitted new mainoven thermostat to Stoves Newhome built-in oven & grill Model No. 444445062 Serial No.41209452 other data on plate EFa900h need a wiring diagram, couple wires can adrift. Every thing...

I can only speak for the 720. If you want a circuit/wiring diagram for this one, then I need an email address. I will then register this on my BT Digital Vault and you can the download the whole manual.
Looking at the diagrams, the neon for the main oven has white and black wires.
The white wire from the main oven neon goes onto the same connector on the thermostat block as the white wire to the oven element. The black wire from the neon goes to a common terminal on the top oven neon, which then goes onto P6 of the top oven switch (still black wire).
If you need any more info, then let me know.

I have no heat

You may have a blown fuse or a tripped breaker. The fuses are located within the oven inside the panel.Next, turn off the breakers then back on. Next check the wiring within the control panel. it may be a simple as a wire or 2 has burned off. More than likely you will find this problem in one of the 3 areas I mentioned. Let me know how you do or if you have any other questions.

XL 44 Gas Range Oven temperature problem

hi If the oven doesn't heat evenly or doesn't heat at all, the oven thermostat may be malfunctioning. First, determine how much the temperature in the oven is off from the control setting. To do this, put an oven thermometer on a center rack inside the oven and turn the oven on for about 20 minutes, with the thermostat set at any range between 300 degrees and 400 degrees Farenheit. If the oven thermometer reads 25 degrees or more lower or higher than the oven control setting, the thermostat should be recalibrated. Here's how to calibrate the thermostat:

Step 1: Pull off the thermostat knob on the control panel. Behind the knob are two screws holding a round, notched plate. Loosen these screws, but do not remove them.

Step 2: With a screwdriver, change the notch setting on the notched plate by turning the plate counterclockwise; for every eighth of a turn, the oven temperature goes up about 25 degrees Farenheit. To turn the heat down, turn the plate clockwise.

Some thermostats can be adjusted by turning a screw inside the control knob shaft housing. To do so, remove the knob and insert a screwdriver into the shaft so that the screwdriver blade engages a screw slot. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise about one-eighth of a turn to raise the heat about
25 degrees Farenheit. Here's how to test a malfunctioning thermostat:

Step 1: Test the thermostat with a VOM (multimeter) set to the RX1 scale. The thermostat is located directly on the back of the control knob that regulates the heat. To gain access to the thermostat, remove the back service panel to the control panel.

Step 2: Disconnect one electrical lead wire from a terminal of the thermostat and clip one probe of the VOM to each thermostat terminal. If the thermostat is in working order, the meter will register zero. If the needle jumps to a higher reading, the thermostat is faulty and should be replaced.

Step 3: If necessary, replace the thermostat with a new one of the same type.

If you need to replace the thermostat, follow these guidlines:

Step 1: Disconnect the terminal wires to the thermostat and pull off the control knob.

Step 2: Remove the retaining screws. On some ranges, there is a wire running from the thermostat into the oven. This wire operates a sensing bulb that controls the thermostat. The sensing bulb is usually held by a bracket; unscrew this bracket to remove the bulb. Then carefully slip out the wire, the bulb, and the thermostat.

Step 3: Install the new thermostat using a reverse procedure.
