You can use the wireless button or HP Connection Manager (select models only) to turn on and turn
off wireless devices.
NOTE: A computer may have a wireless button, a wireless switch, or a wireless key on the
keyboard. The term wireless button is used throughout this guide to refer to all types of wireless
controls. Refer to the Getting Started guide for information on identifying the location of the wireless
button on your computer.
To turn off wireless devices using HP Connection Manager:
? Right-click the HP Connection Manager icon in the notification area, at the far right of the
taskbar, and then click the power button next to the desired device.

Select Start > All Programs > HP > HP Connection Manager, and then click the power button
next to the desired device.

On your laptop turn ON the wireless switch, it
may be on the side or in front.

After turning ON the wireless switch the
wireless light will turn ON

Click on "Start"
and click on "Run" type "ncpa.cpl" and click "OK"

"Network
connections" window will open

In "Network
connection" right click on "wireless
network connection" and left click on "view
available wireless networks"

You will get a window showing all the wireless networks in range

Click on the wireless network you want to
connect to and click "connect"
8.
If it is a secured wireless network you will be
prompted to enter the password or else you will be connected directly
9.
If it prompts you for a password, type the password
and reconfirm the same in the 2nd box and click connect.
10. After a few seconds you will be connected to the wireless network.
