SOURCE: Jumping Screen

Hello,

I've had a couple of these. The panel control board is going bad, but there may be a way to make it last a bit longer. If you go into the MENU of the TV, and turn off all the color correction, all the whistles and bells that come inside the tv to "make the picture better," it usually helps. Any kind of motion correction, or any kind of noise reduction (picture noise reduction) should be turned off. If the picture has a cloud of green pixels that seems to pepper the screen, then after you turn off all the stuff in the menu, unplug the TV for 5 minutes, and then plug back in. It should help the picture some.

Hope this helps...

If, indeed this is a polaroid clone TV, most probably the fix is a new "control board", at the cost of $400 if TV is not under warranty.

Sorry to not be of more assistance.

I have the same issue on an LG TV. The TV Guide is completely black with a small picture in the corner. It's as if the software is no longer working.

LG 60PZ750-ug TV no picture or sound

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt1TBOGRStoSome common symptoms of a problem that could be the y-buffer is that you have no picture on the screen, you have black lines going across the screen. Those lines are typically horizontal and they go all the way across the entire screen. These black lines could also be caused by damage to these ribbon cables.

LG Plasma inch has black pixalation around moving pictures only.

It is likely NOT the set and if using a box for hd it could be it.

Most likely is signal is slow and set cannot keep up with it.

How do I connect my LG TV to my dish network

Hello Al, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your LG TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your LG TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. I hope this information is useful and if you have further questions feel free to ask!

Of course its possible! You can use either your tv remote or your cable remote. On the cable remote it is usually the # sign, hd zoom, or stretch.

If you use your tv remote go into your menu and look for your setup or settings. Go to the picture option and select pass through or auto adjust.

You should be good to go after that:)

OK. For all you regular Joe's like me here's the fix--plain and simple! I have Dish Networks HD receiver, an LG Home Theater System (LHB953) and an LG HD Television - although I suspect this applies for most LG TV-to-LG Audio Systems used in combination with a HD TV). My problem lied within the LG to LG setting known as SIMPLINK which tries to "auto-configure" everything between LG to LG devices.

Do this to make your HD TV (using Dish/DirecTV) play it's HD video display from the satellite provider but play the audio over the LG surround sound speakers:

1. Plug a HDMI cable from your satelite receiver's set-top-box to your HD TV. This will carry your HD "video" ONLY. Click "Input" on the TV remote until the HD video signal shows your desired TV channel from your satellite provider.

2. Plug an HD Optical cable (the one with the red laser) from your LG HTS (Home Theater System) to your satellite box. This will carry your HD "audio" ONLY.

3. This is the magic everyone seems to be overlooking. On the LG TV remote, go into the menu options and disable SIMPLINK by setting SIMPLINK=OFF. This feature allows the video and audio signals to be split over 2 different ports: HD video goes over the HDMI cable and the audio to go over the HD Optical cable.

Hope this helps!

Magnavox 15" LCD TV

If the LCD only has coax, it will never display a HD picture quality. However, the Comcast HD Box will still display a picture using the coax connection. So, you could watch any HD channel, but the picture quality will not be high definition.
