Look for snowy frost build up on the inside rear freezer panel. If there is snow, your self defrost system is not working. 90% chance your defrost heaters are burned out (will sow open with multimeter set for continuity, Rx10, Rx100, etc...) If the heater is good check the defrost termination thermostat at the top of the evaporator (cooling coil) it is clipped to the top. About the size of 15 quarters stacked up.. two wires coming out of it. It will only show closed if it is below around 20 degrees. If neither of them is bad, replace the defrost timer. It is in the top of the fresh food section by the control dials.
