I have an old Toshiba model # CF3066A, and the screen has shrunk , I've tried everything to increase the size, but it seems to be some type of defective part, I can hear the audio with no problems, ex

The screen is small vertically no way to make it bigger to view correctly, audio is good. Any assistance would be helpful.

I have a wild guess. I have the same tv and channel 72 is the proper channel to watch tv on. I don't know why, but maybe try channel 72 instead of the usual channel 3. Good luck, maybe a quick fix, maybe not!

Hi

Replace the capacitors(about 10 of them) on the Hyperboard 23148024. This should solve the problem. You can confirm this by heating this PCB when cold to prove that it is causing the problem. The fault will dissappear if you heat the parts that are causing your symptom.

I am more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about it, just give me a hoy :) If you are still unsure, or have problems, then before you give a rating for this advice, please get back to me and we can try some more things.

Facebook login problems

If you are on a windows PC and on the Facebook screen you can use a keyboard shortcut to increase the font size for the page. The keyboard shortcut is to press the Ctrl key and the + key on your keyboard simultaneously until the font increases to the desired size. If the font becomes too large, the Ctrl key and the - key will shrink the text.

The picture has shrunk - maybe 720P vs 480P?

make sure your hd cable connection from your cable box is going to an hd connection to your tv.[via hdmi, dvi,or componant.] if you have a different hook up such as rca out or coax out, these are not hd connections and you are probably streching out the picture.look at the rear of the tv & cable box and see how the connections are.the hd hook up to the hd input should make the picture the right size only if it's set on the hd input channel.hook up the dvd player to a aux/line in or video/source input and try changing the picture size. you may have to play around with it till you get it the way you want.
hope this helps.

Standard CRT Toshiba TV - 4inch tall picture in middle of screen...

Hi,

Not familiar with your actual model.

But a comon problem with older Tosh sets is the 2.2uf electrolytic caps from memory they are usually red there is 1 next to frame Ic & the second is near Psu.

Allso check frame o/p IC for dry solder joints this is easy to test for.

Tap the tv while it is on if the the frame suddenly pop to full size picture you know its dry joints so resolder frame IC.
