The Front Tire Axels On The Cozy Coupe Police Car Are Too Short

The front tire axels are too short. When I assemble them the metal doesn't come up nearly high enough to hammer on the cap to hold it in place. Has anyone else experienced this and how do I fix it? Thanks!

SOURCE: Little Tikes Cozy Coupe red plastic wheel caps

The caps are a type of "acorn nut". Check a local hardware store (not the big guys) for this type of fastener and bring the shaft with you to get the correct size. These should not cost more than about $.50 each.

SOURCE: Can't assemble the front tires on the little tikes deluxe cozy.

lube the bead of the tire{ that is the part that makes contact with the rim} with plenty of dish soap for easier installation. place the tire on a angle on the rim so their is a gap where you can put a long flat pry bar in between the rim and the tire with the bar resting on the rubber so that it will not move. then take a second pry bar and insert it in between the rubber and the rim and lifting the rubber slide it over the rim at about 4 to 6 inches at the most place you foot or knee were the pry bar is and repeat that process until you have the tire on the rim. then inflate to recommended pressure.

SOURCE: what screws go on the steering wheel for the

None. You take the white Y bracket and slide it up inside the steering wheel. Let the tips of the Y pop out of the second holes from the bottom. There will be about 3/4 of an inch of the bottom of the Y sticking out of the bottom of the steering wheel. Then, take the white ring and hold it over the edge of the steering wheel exit hole under the dash. Slide the steering wheel post through the hole in the top of the dash and guide it through the exit underneath. Now, there is another hole, at the same angle, a few inches away, on the inside front of the car, that the post should continue through. Keep pushing the steering wheel in until the wheel is flush with the dash. There will be several clicks as it snaps into place. No screws are needed. Good luck.

SOURCE: the front pillars of the cozy coupe don't fit

Ok after three hours I figured it out.
Once you have the hook in the position and all that is left is to apply pressure to press it in. Instead of using your hand like the directions and the instructional video shows. You have to put your foot in the back of the body and put your knee against where you hand is suppose to push and push using your knee with your foot in the back of the body as support. This whole body force snaps it in.

SOURCE: I put the front wheels

Wedge something like a screwdriver under the cap and twist. They usually pop off with a little help.
Otherwise pliers from the top while rocking back and forth may work.

Why does my blade to my dealt D28770keep walking its self out

Possible causes:
- Tires: If the tire(s) on the front or rear pulleys are worn, torn or have chuncks out of them, the blade can slip off.
- Pulley(s) out of line: If either or both pulleys are out of alignment the blade will work it's way off. This could be caused by a worn pulley hub; a worn or broken pulley axel; or worn, broken or frozen bearings where the axels turn. On the drive pulley this could include the bearings on the drive shaft or the boss where the bearings fit into.
- Blade: If there are any kinks or slight bends in the metal they could cause the blade to work off the pulley.

Are the threads on the front wheel axles left or right hand threads? having trouble undoing the nut.

Daewoo is'nt using any left hand threads on cars for sale in the USA. The front axel nut's are sussosed to be very tight, ( 250 Ft- Lbs ) I use a 3/4 in inpac air gun that has 1000 ft-lbs take off toque with the wheel still on the ground and the parking brake on with the wheels choclked. You can still get them off with a 1/2 breaker bar the correct socket and a pipe ( that fits over the handle of the breaker bar) and a sheadge hammer. On the drivers side of the car with the breaker bar parrleell to the floor and sticking out the front, put the pipe over the handle and pust down on the end and wack it hard where the handle is inside the pipe. once it turns it'll turn easy, so watch out! The axel will be stuck in the hub and may be very hard to get out. I use an high powered air chiscil with a pointed bit in the very end of the axel with only the axel nut removed with the wheigh of the car still on the ground, it'll push in about an inch with it all put together. Hopefully after it's moved some it'll be able to be pulled out. Remove the wheel and tire assembly and unbolt the lower ball joint. with it separted from the lower control arm the steering knuckle can be pulled away from the car and the axle pulled out of the knuckle while staying in the transmission. The ball joint part of the job needs to be done with both sides of the car jacked off the ground and supported well with jack satands. I ussally do both sides of the car for axels unless one has already been changed or money for the other axel is'nt available. If your just doing the job for yourself and you don't normally do car repair work, The cost of the tools that you only use to change the axel cost alot more than what you should pay to have the axels changed. I charge $100 to change both axels and $75 to change just one. I buy the rebuilt axels at my local auto parts store for $46 or new ones for $75 sometimes the new ones are cheaper in time as you just buy them straight out and theres no core charge and you just but them go home and put them on and go about you bussness.. It's easy to get hurt putting in axels as the car can fall on you. ( not useing good jack stands and a good hard level hard surface to work on. A good floor jack. a ball joint separterater. the correct axel scoket. The impac scocket and the powerful enough air gun to remove the nut, acess to compressed air to run the air tools. Really a lift to raise the car and hold it good enough that it does'nt fall and kill you. a large pry bar to pry the axel out of the transmission and a large hammer to beat the new axel into the transmission and the brawn and strengh to do all this heavy work.

We just purchased the 30th Anniversary Cozy Coupe and I messed up with the right and left side front wheels, I put them in the wrong sides. I need to switch them but the red Metal Cap Nut in the front...

I have dealt with many of these metal push nuts, best thing is to break the plastic off with a needle nose or regular pliers and then that will expose the metal push nut, then you can bend that with the pliers and pull it off and swap the tires to the correct sides, keep in mind this will ruin the push nuts and new ones will need to be ordered off ebay or something similar

The drlive line goes into what part

The Drive Line is a general term that describes a variety of parts ...

Power starts with the engine ... power is transferred from the engine fly wheel through a clutch to the transmission ... through a series of gears to the 'tail shaft', the output of the transmission. The drive shaft inserts into the splines of the tail shaft. The shaft connects to the rear end where the power is divided between the rear tires through through a diferential. The axels connect to the diferential and deliver power to the hub towhich the tire is attached..

that is unless your car happens to be a front wheel drive ... which I dont think yours is.

When I drive speeds of 60+ and let go of the gas pedeal, there is mild vibration felt in the steering wheel and a bit in the seat. I bought new tires/alignment in July, and got new brake pads in October....

Cv axel or motor mount The CV axel boots should be good with no tears and with thr trie off the ground and the car in park there shlud be no persectable plat between the axel shaft and the tire when rotating the trie by hand untill the transmistion park or in gear stops it. It's OK for the trans to turn a little before the trans stops it but not the axel hold the inner axel CV and turn the tire again and the inner joint should turn with the tire with no play except the trans slack. If this is good check the other axel the same way if one has more than the other just replace the one with more play anf see if you can get away with just one! The replacement axels are less than $100 new and half that for rebuilt after you turn in the core ( old one ). Their strange as they wear out and some last very long and others a shorter period. Many cars go to the junkyard with the axels in them with lots of miles and their the ones that came with the car.

Replaced both front axels and jack shaft and now the car wobbles

Sounds like one of the new CV shafts has a bad inner joint. It isn't the transmission. Is this a 4 cylinder or V6?
