Hello, Take out the battery and unplug power cord and let set for about 30 mins and then just plug in the power cord and hit the power button and see if works, If neither work then the laptop will have to be repaired.

in the BIOS you should be able to go the last tab on the right (usually) and select' load fail safe' settings or words similar to that.

Try taking a brush dipped in alcohol and cleaing out the connector on the motherboard. Do the same with the connector on the drive. Make sure it is dry before putting the drive back in. Alcohol dries pretty fast just blow on it for a few seconds. If that doesn't help then you may have a motherboard problem. I would only suggest this if you are sure that the drive is good. My first suspect would be the drive.

go to bios set up then your first to boot is the cd rom drive ok.

Do you not have a Reoery disk with this machine?
