SOURCE: I need to purchase the

Sure thing! I will be glad to help you here. The best kind of plugs you can get are what they call Banana Plugs. The best deal on them is at the link I will give you here... 10 plugs for $17.10, many places charge at least $5 a pair, and as much as $25 a pair. 10 for $17 is an amazing deal and it has free shipping with no tax. Here is the link:

The other kind is more of a standard speaker connector, a spade style connector they call it. You can get 4 of them for $6.95 with free shipping. If your setup can take banana plugs definitely go with those. Here are the spade style connectors:

I purchased a system from Lorex model # LHV08C02

Lorex used standard BNC and provides Siamese cables for all their DVR systems; like this one.. If you want to use your own, use 75 Ohm RG-59 or RG-58 with compatible connectors. If using premade cables, use BNC female to female. Power is separate and is provided by the 'wall wart' style power adapter.

What player will work with the dvx-s100 speakers

The note about using other speakers (Page 11) implies that the electronics and the speakers are not dependent on each other but there might be tonal changes if you mix and match. Therefore, since they use bare wires you could drive them with any common amplifer that is comfortable with 6-ohm loads.

While I'm watching TV through my Yamaha HTR 3063, the video cuts out for about 2 sec but audio works fine. This happens about 10 times a day. My set up is as following, a outdoor coax cable to a HD dual...

Hi,
Well, it can be one of two things:
a One of the HDMI cables or
b The receiver HDMI interface.

I have heard is said from more than one source that Poor HDMI cables are a headache, even if
new.

Here is a procedure you can try out.

1 Connect up the Plasma to the DVR directly with each cable alternately until
you find a defective one that demonstrates the same problem you are showing
with the receiver connected. If it doesn't manifest the problem go to step 2

2 Get a can of compressed air, such as the small cans sold for dusting out computers.
(about 5 dollars at Walmart). Visually inspect each of the HDMI connectors on the back of your receiver. You may find a pet hair that is the culpret. BLOW all the connectors clean with the can of air.

3 Reassemble you system and see if it still manifests the same problem. If it does, go to
step 4.

4 Time to find out if your warranty is still in effect with Yamaha. If it is, great, if not, Oh well.
Contact them anyway. They may still help you if it is very recently out of warranty.
I hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Mark

I have a Yamaha HTR-5440 receiver and I want to connect it to my Directtv Plus HD DVR satilite receiver what do I need

If your yamaha receiver has Hdmi upconversion and HDMI pass through you should only need an HDMI cable. One from the directv receiver to the Yamaha Receiver and another from the yamaha receiver to the tv. If it does not have HDMI then you'll need component video cables and 1 optical cable.

Yamaha NX-SW300 sub woofer

Yes, that type of connector is often used for a VGA signal for a computer monitor. But in this case it is an all-in-one connector Yamaha used in order to simplify the hookup of this home theatre system. Unfortunately, the subwoofer is only usable with the DVR-S300 receiver/DVD player.

How to connect YAMAHA DVR-S120 to computer

As long u`ve got audio out on ur Vaio (usually headphone mini jack on laptop`s) use stereo mini jack to RCA (both male plugs) extension cable. U may use video or vcr inputs on Yamaha. Be careful, when adjusting volume on ur Vaio - start from mid range & compare with other sources - DVD, TUNER etc. I`m not sure, but ur model got an optical SPDI/F audio output. In this case use toslink cable. Cheers
