When I turn on my Samsung PN51E7000, it works fine for about 5 minutes then turns off and immediately comes back on. Sometimes it's only once, but frequently it's 2-4 times in succession before it stabilizes and stays on. We have HAD A DVD player attached since we bought the TV 11 months ago and just added AppleTV through the HDMI-DVI plug. Any idea as to the cause of the turn-off/turn-on problem?

ya need to get fan fixed is safe mode cuse they genrate alot of heat have to have it in well vented area on a nice power strip like monster

Afraid there is no simple answer to this. This set has multiple things that could shut it down, one may be the balest needs a upgrade , this could be why it seems to be eating lamps. Another is what sounds like a fan is a color wheel , these have known problems of failing, and when this happens sometimes they shut down the set. And finaly does the set have good ventalation, overheating can cause huge problems with this set

if the tv is less than a year old , call 1-800-SAMSUNG for warranty repair, the lcd panel is bad

Have you try to replace your HDMI cable?I recommend you to pick up a good Monster HD700 HDMI cable from a local retail store like best buy or circuit city.In case it isn't the cable problem,you could return it.
However,when you are a using the HDMI cable,it is normally either have both picture and sound or nothing at all.Are you sure you didn't hook up the audio OUTPUT from your TV back to a receiver input?
Or even an optical output from the TV to the receiver?
