S24C230L mounting I have 3 Samsung S24C230L monitors that I would like to set on a triple LCD mount. I see 2 holes on the back of my monitors where I can put screws in, but I doubt those are metal plated inside. can someone confirm if these non VESA screws can hold the weight, if not any other options?

No it won't. Those are made for a headphone arm. The screws are literally threaded into the plastic. If you attempted to supporte monitor by them, you'll rip the whole back case off.

SOURCE: Cannot find VESA holes...Samsung Syncmaster 970p

I have looked at the specification for this, and although it does show as being VESA compatible (This is a display standard) There is no mention of any "wall mounting" capabilities at all, which would lead me to believe that this is not designed to be put on a mount. also the "Magic Rotation" Technology which is part of this device may rely on it using the proprietory stand, it may well be possible to remove the stand however, but it would require some significant dissasembly as the power connector is on the signal box, and this would need to be seperated from the stand itself. The mounting bolts look to be hidden behind the round pivot cover on the back, and it may be possible to see if mounting is possible simply by removing this, however I would seek information from the manufacturer about this as removing any of the covers would most likely invalidate your warranty, it is possible that this was missold to you and you should be able to take it back as not being fit for purpose.

Installing mount on LG Flatron

Hello,

It´s not safe to anchor it to the plastic back, monitors usually have a metal frame inside that support the weight of the monitor.

Where can I buy a new base for the Samsung 24

The original Samsung stands will be very hard to find, only available from somebody that has wall mounted their monitor and no longer needs the stand. You can get a third party stand such as the one in the link below that will mount your monitor. All modern monitors have mounting holes in the back for VESA mounting, this is a standard configuration.

Trying to figure out how to convert the base to a wall mount since it appears that it is set up to do this.

first get a wall mount kit. ikea sells them cheaply.

there should be 4 screw holes on the back of the screen. screws goes in there.

first drill 2 holes on the wall
mount the ikea kit using expanding bolt
then screw in the ikea kit on the monitor
just hang the monitor on the wall side.

but..... 15 inch is a bit smallish for wall mount... dont ya think?

I have one samsung 47cms lcd how wall mount it because there is no any attachment for it.

If you at the back, there are 4 mounting holes (VESA mount) for attaching your wall monuting bracket.
You can dowmload user manual here: http://www.retrevo.com/pdf/886bh338/8/Rear#q=Samsung+730B

Please leave rating if it helps.

Broken mount on back of monitor to base

the easiest solution would be to epoxy the mount back though you may loose ability to tilt monitor, be sure not block any air holes. when setting together tape it to proper spot and let set for recommended time on epoxy(get at hardware store).

Monitor keeps going off and on. All cords seem

ALL LCD monitors have a thermal protection circuit that turns the monitor off when it is overheated. LCD monitors do not have air circulating fans, so dust buildup is a problem. If your monitor is still under warranty, Please contact your retailer or Samsung at samsung.com/support. If it is out of warranty, you can try to repair it youtself. The steps to follow are:
1. Fold a large bath towel in half and put it on a table.
2. Disconnect the monitor from everything.
3. Remove all cables from the monitor
4. Place the monitor face down on the towel.
5. Remove the four VESA mounting screws that hold the desk mount to the rear of the monitor.
6. Remove ALL of the Phillips head screws from the rear of the monitor.
7. Use a thin bladed tool to release all of the plastic catches that secure the rear cover to the front cover of the monitor.
8. Use a small brush and a hose type vacuum cleaner to remove all of the accumulated dust from the chassis.
9. Put everything back together by reversing steps 7-2.
power it up and see if this corrects the problem.
10. Do not block any ventilation holes in the case.

Yes they are the mounting holes but I would not trust a universal mount to hold an expensive TV set on a wall.
