Common Causes of Lightning Strikes

• Outdoor network cables or power cables are routed overhead.
• A switch is deployed outdoors but is not properly grounded.

Damages of Lightning Strikes

• If power cables of a switch are routed overhead in an outdoor environment, lightning strikes may burn the power supplies.
• If network cables of a switch are routed overhead in an outdoor environment, lightning strikes may burn interfaces of the switch.

When a switch undergoes lightning strikes, overvoltage is induced by lightning on network cables and transmitted to interior of the chassis. The surge protection measures, such as lightning rod and chassis grounding cannot prevent the damage. Therefore, surge protectors or surge protection circuits are recommended.

Surge Protector Use Precautions Take the following precautions to protect a switch from lightning:

• Ensure that the ground cable is connected to a ground bar or a ground point on the cabinet.
• Avoid routing cables overhead in an outdoor environment. Bury cables underground or route them in steel tubes.
• To protect network interfaces against lightning, use 8-line surge protectors (or Huawei certified 4-line surge protectors).
• When installing a network interface surge protector, connect the IN end to terminals and the OUT end to network interfaces of the switch.

If a fixed switch is installed in a network box, follow these instructions:

• Connect the ground cables of the switch and surge protectors to the ground bar in the network box.
• The maximum length of a ground cable cannot exceed 40 cm, and a length of smaller than 15 cm is recommended.
• If the network box is located outdoors and power cables are routed aerially over a long distance (more than 300 m) to the network box, it is recommended that you install a power supply surge protector in the network box. The decoupled power cable must be at least 3 m long

Seem like when you pull off the protector you have cause flat screen and bd connection to come loose they will have to take it apart to try to fix it

Always a good idea to have a "surge protector" between the wall outlet for electrical and the appliance plugged into it. A surge protector will prevent a surge that could damage your set. $10.

To lift the protector off one edge of the display, place a sticky tape on the edge of the protector and then pull on the sticky tape to lift off the protector.
Lift the screen protector from one edge, peel it back to the last bubble then re-fix the protector in place by slowly apply pressure across the proctector as you push the protector onto the display making sure no bubbles forms between the display and the protector.

Hello Sir,
It seems that you have got dust in the inner adhesive part of the screen protector. If that is so, there isn't a way to clean it. You have to get a new screen protector. If you have dust and other particles on the screen protector, then use a micro fiber cloth. That is the best.

May be it could be the wires for the power that has broken or it could be the kit that has broken it is old other than that I don't know sorry but I have only just heard the surge protector fix kit sorry man I will look in to it for you

It's warning you that the fan is dead or clogged. Look at it and possibly clean out the dust bunnies.

hi In most cases, motor malfunctions should be handled by a professional; do not try to fix the motor yourself. If the motor is a universal motor, however, you can change worn carbon brushes when sparking occurs, as detailed in the how to repair appliances article. To save the expense of a service call, remove the motor from the washer and take it to a professional service person, then reinstall the repaired or new motor yourself. To access the motor, remove the back panel of the washer. The motor is mounted on an adjustable bracket.
There is one other motor problem you can repair yourself. Washer motors usually have an overload protector clipped to the motor. When this component fails, the motor won't work. Before you take the motor in for service, test the protector with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. Disconnect one electrical lead wire to the protector and clip one probe of the VOM to each protector terminal. The meter should read zero. If the needle jumps higher, the protector is faulty and should be replaced. Pry up the protector with a screwdriver and replace it with a new one made specifically for the motor or washer. Connect the new protector the same way the old one was connected.it is not gear box.............

It shows protector because the unit detects a short in the amp section of the unit. You will need to trouble shoot the amplifier section and replace the bad parts. If you have no solid state repair experience, my best advice would be to have a pro take a look at it for you. Good luck

Hello godom, It will depend on how bad is the scratch. For deeper scratches there isn't no fix. For smaller ones there is a specially made scrach fixing paste or something like this, that may be found in some computer stores or electronic/phone service centers. PLEASE NOTE ! Your display is a touchscreen type. The top part of your display - the one you touch, is not made of glass or plastic but a kind of polymer acrilic or similar based materials. Most scrach fixes work and are designed for plastic or glass surfaces. Please instruct or remind this to the person that will attempt the fix. Otherwise it can damage the touchscreen or reduce it's brightness or sharpness. Hope this helps.
