How do i get my tv to show the picture straight

hit menu button on your remote, navigate to channel setup menu. on the sub-menu, set channel fix to your channel that you require. now when your tv powers up this will be the default channel. if this doesn't fix your issue then try cycling through video inputs tv/video button on your remote.

This problems very common on DLP Tvs.This problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board is dead.Require to be replaced on the tv convergence board 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to solved the tv convergence board problems,to solved tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost about $300-350 for parts and labors.

Acording to Sony it can only control a Sony TV

There are two problems here but may be caused by one component

The flyback transformer or transistor equivalent is faulty The colors are warped convergence controls which may be due to a faulty sustain board or part of the first problem. DIY is not an option and repair estimate is about $3-400.00

hello just looked at the remote theres guide button next freeze press that should take you back to normal tv if that don't work get back to me

You may have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos.

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.



You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.


Solution


You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick email and they will put one together for you. Their kits includes photo instruction guides, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

The set has 3 IC's(one for each color)strictly dedicated for the aligment of each color,if one them does not align is because is going bad or is already bad becuase picture can not be adjusted,the IC's can be identify because they are mounted on a heat sink and have the markings STK--- ---,they are all the same and need to be replaced with an exact replacement.If you are familiar with tv service you can replace them,sometimes the new ones need to be aligned from the service menu,you will need the service manual,soldering and unsoldering will be involved,If you are not too familiar be safe and seek the assistance of a servicer.
