Go into the device manager and go through the list until you see the mouse, check box to the left and right click, if the pad is disabled enable it, be careful not choose the external mouse.
You should have two buttons either side of your power button,
one of which (the right hand side i believe) controls your wireless connection, and if pressed your notebook will not be able to pick any wireless connections up.
The left hand side button controls your touch-pad device, possibly you have pressed this button without realising and it has disabled your mouse. Simply hit it again to resume the function of the mouse.
TRy plugging in an external USB mouse. If the mouse is OK then the touch pad has failed. Check the touch pad driver in the control panel then Device manager. Hope this helps.
Hi
