Avital remote start troubleshoot

So I installed a new alternator on my 2004 GMC Sierra (didn't unhook the battery) and now the power locks don't work. I get a horn chirp and my remote start works it just kills the engine after a second or two. I tried to lock the doors manually and then try the auto start but same thing. I'm not sure of the Avital model because I'm the second owner. The RPN is 474L if that helps.

if your key has a blue square where the metal meets the plastic on the key, you will need to reprogram the data module used to bypass the theft system, or remove the spare key that is installed and have the dealer reprogram it

SOURCE: I bought a used car

The Camry you purchased may not be equipped with a power trunk. Press and hold the trunk button for appoximately 4 seconds. The trunk should release if the wire is connected and, you have a power trunk.
The Camry (and other toyotas) require a double pulse on the unlock wire. If the double pulse is not programmed the aftermarket unit will mimic the factory keyless entry. One press of the unlock button opens the drivers door. Immediately press the unlock button again to unlock the other doors.

We haven't we have an Avital 3200 remote start and the car will not start after changing the battery and we do not have the remote starter fob is there a reason the car won't start due to the remote start...

Yes, your antitheft system need resetting because you disconnected the battery. Because you have an aftermarket remote starter, get the installer to come out to you and reprogram everything.

Number 1 tip. When changing a battery, always maintain a 12 volt supply during changeover using a battery tender, the existing battery with jump leads, or a special attachment that goes into the cigarette lighter.

My gmc sierra truck was running now this morning it won't start and stay running and my radio won't work and doors won't lock/ unlock and dash says unknown driver

I would unhook the battery for about 10 minutes, hook it back up then see what it does, if that doesn't work check battery, or go to owners manual to reset system.

I have a 2004 gmc sierra pickup it have a new battery and a new alternator and it still won't tarn over

When the ignition is turned on do the console lights all go out?? If so it could be the positive wire that goes from the battery to the started. Could also be the relay, fuse, neutral switch (in neut and try).

Nothing power works

This is probably due to a faulty alternator, or bad battery.

Attach the car battery to a second car, using jumper leads. If the accessories work fine in this situation, then you probably need to replace your alternator.
