This appears to be a model from 1968 or earlier, so you may need to contact vendors of the YLG43 to ask if they have a service manual to sell you or photocopy for you.
Have you tried cleaning the DVD lens? I used o have a similar problem with my old CD player, I bought a lens cleaner (looks like a CD with some brushes on it) and not had any problem since. Not tried it on my DVD player, but they may make one specifically for that.
