Forcd Factory Reset

I was playing my tablet, and battery got very low so I put it on the USB charger. I kept playing Clash of Clans while it charged, but soon it completely ran out of battery. When it ran completely out, I let it charge for like 5 minutes an turned it back on. As soon as it finished the Polaroid screen, it factory reset. Please help.

Best learn the principles of your tablet first
first when a battery is less than 10% it takes up to 5 hours to recharge not 5 minutes
next many tablets do not recharge when in operation so you have to shut down to allow the recharge to work
because the battery was dead flat , of course it will reset as that is the same as removing or installing a new battery

Tablet will not charge

Hi there,

Assuming that you charger is not defective, and that you have no other electrical issues, then if your battery has been allowed to completely flat line, it may no longer accept a charge from the normal wall charger. Then you can try to trickle charge your tablet from a low voltage/current source, such as a USB port or a low power phone charger (5v/500ma). Try a trickle charge for 8 - 24 hours on your tablet. After that try your normal charger and see if it will now charge properly.

If that does not work, and you have previously ruled out your charger, then I would suggest contacting the manufacturer, as it is likely some other fault, either with the battery, or the tablet itself.

I post on behalf of HP.

Tablet not charging while plugged in

Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.

I have the Trio 7" Dual core tablet. The battery is not charging completely, can this battery be replaced and if so where do I find the battery in the unit?

Battery replacement is possible. The battery is a flat component encased in a shiny silvery sheath behind the speaker area inside the back cover. It's mounted with double-sided (very) sticky-tape. A replacemnent battery should be sourced, having the same power specifications as well as physical dimensions. (see detailed close-up photo attached.) Replacement involves desoldering the 2 terminal wires (1 red and 1 black) which attach it to the main board, and replacing the battery with a new(er) unit.
The above having been said,I'd only replace the tablet battery if I was sure that it's the battery at fault. Here's what I'd suggest.
First, check that you're using a charger with the proper 5 Volt / 2Amp (2000milliamp) output. Also I'd suggest you use a charger designed to be plugged intothe G2 7" Dual-Core tablet's dedicated charging port. (See sample tablet charger in attached photo) The G2 tablets WILL typically accept charging output via the micro USB port, for example, from a typical cell phone charger. However typical phone chargers which will happily attach to the Trio or other similar tablets, via the micro-USB port do NOT often have the same output power specifications. This I think may cause difficulty with the tablet battery not reaching the fully-charged status. Also, the use of the USB port for charging may cause access problems if the battery power is low during some operations (eg data transfer in slave mode), as the charging port can not multitask as the USB port can. If power to the main boad is lost during such operations the tablet may become "bricked". Bottom line for me would be to use the dedicated appropriately rated charger whenever possible: it's the reccommended charging method.

Cant get my samsung tablet to turn on

Your tablet's battery is probably dead. This may be because you have a bad battery, a bad charger, or a bad charging cable. Try using a different cable first and let it charge for a few hours - even if it doesn't look like it is charging.

If the new cable doesn't do it, try using a different charger. Samsung devices are picky about what charger you use, so try to use one made for your tablet. If you don't have another charger, plug it into a PC's USB port with the PC turned on. Leave them on and plugged in over night. That should trickle charge your tablet.

If neither of those work, try holding down the power and the Volume Up buttons. Keep them both pressed until the Samsung logo/boot screen comes up - should only be a couple seconds. Once the logo comes up release the power button but keep holding the Volume Up button. That will boot you into Recovery Mode. If that comes up, it means you've got power and your tablet isn't broken, but there is something wrong with the Android OS that is keeping your tablet from powering up normally. Use the Volume Up and Down buttons to move the selection highlight to the Factory Reset option. This will wipe all the info off your tablet and put it back into a "brand new just out of the box" state. You'll lose your information on the tablet, but this should fix the boot problem. Press the power button to chose the Factory Reset option. It will take a few minutes. Once it says that it is done, select the Reboot or Restart option. It should reboot. This boot will take longer than normal, since its wiping things out. But not more than a few minutes.
