SOURCE: free standing kenmore ice maker ---water running

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

BUZZING NOISE FROM MY HEAT PUMP

Take a look at this YouTube page that explains with good videos what are some of the common problems with heat pump noise. The one that seems dominant is the defrost cycle a heat pump goes thru when it melts ice off the evaporative coils. In defrost cycle, The compressor runs but the cooling fan does not, so you will hear a loud buzzing sound and the unit sounds like it is stalled...because only the compressor is running to generate heat to melt coil ice.

Freezer makes really loud noise

You need someone to check the fans and where the noise is coming from before the repair cost you a lot of money because of damage it can cause. The fan may be hitting ice in the freezer or out of balance because it is worn out. No one can hear what you hear and someone will need to be there to check these things out, Sea Breeze

Very Loud Noise when dishwasher starts

It is likely the sound is coming from the rinse aid dispenser solenoid. (I am assuming you do not have a water softener unit on your dishwasher). Try to run the drawer on a Rinse cycle and see if the noise is still coming.

Danby microwave does not heat food and makes loud constant noise

IF the noise is a sound coming from the oven area, its the megatron tube. Typically, replacing the megatron tube is more expensive than replacing wiht a new unit and a new warranty.

Our Frigidaire Ultra Quiet II dishwasher loud buzzing noise- wash

No longer "ultra quiet" huh?

A sound during certain cycles indicates a broken part. By the information provided sounds like a pump may be the problem. You may need to contact a service tech about this issue. If the appliance still under warranty, the service should be provided for free.

Every time when you hear noises (other than the normal ones) in the appliance, it indicates there is something wrong and it will worsen over time, so as soon you hear something is not ok, get assistance.

Loud Buzzing noise

Sounds like something may have got past your filter and is touching the main pump impeller eg piece of broken glass or piece of plastic.I,ve even seen a spoon touching the impeller. You may have to take the bottom off the machine and remove the pump if you can,t see anything under the filter,Hope this helps. Regards Stefan.

Free standing 25lbs ice machine

It sounds as though the bin therrmisotr is defectice, which as you stated the unit is not sensing the temperature and just continues making ice.

The second issue would appeare to be a drain issue, it should be a gravity drain into either an open drain or a sealed pump.
