The manual refers strictly to the hardware part, the software and the programs already have their own Help section already in, right there in the main toolbar of the programs. If you don't know how to use those programs, or don't really need them, just uninstall them and install what you know and what you really need.
If I remember I don't think they have a manual switch you can switch to reserve on/off. Like everyone's saying it works off vacuum. The only warning you have is when the idiot light comes on, time to refuel. You should take a note the next time you fill up and figure out what type of mileage you are getting, that way you know when to fill up before you're stranded somewhere you don't want to be. I believe the idiot light means you're now in reserve.
Don, I don't know where you might have called but you can download this manual in a couple minutes by going to "dewaltservicenet.com" and on the left hand side type in your model number under manuals and it will redirect you so that you can download.
