I have just bought a graded Whirlpool Frbb2vaf20 American Fridge freezer & are having problems with the freezer. It doesn't seem to want to freeze. We put it on the fast freeze & it then flashes -- & it then states the temperate & about 1/2 hour later the alarm beeps & it flashes --. it doesn't freeze anything, however it does produce the ice cubes. We have had this problem since we purchased it 2 days ago.

I have a Whirlpool side by side fridge. The lights in the fridge side started flickering and a humming sound. I found one bulb blown. I changed the bulb but the problem continued. When i tried to change all the bulbs the fridge stop working. The only thing that works are the lights in the freezer side and the light on the water and ice dispenser. Any ideas what the problem could be?

if posible try turning off over night, if its ok when you start it back up after 24hours, defrost not happening, ice builds up air flow is restricted

My whirlpool side by side fridge freezer power cut alarm will not stop going off temp display is reading -7 degrees Celsius in freezer but I put therometer in it and that is saying -17 degrees Celsius...

Are you sure it's not a temperature alarm rather than power? Check the thermistor isn't in a block of ice, give the freezer a good defrost, and check the condenser is nice and clean.

Hi Heather and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. It took me over an hour but I did find your manual online. I first had to realize this was a UK model. Your manual is here:

http://www.whirlpool.co.uk/app.cnt/whr/en_GB/pageid/pgwpsrvifuhome001/DOCTYPE/IFU/DOCLANGUAGE/GB

You may have to go to his page first:

http://www.whirlpool.co.uk/app.cnt/whr/en_GB/pageid/pgwpsrvifuhome001

and enter this product code:

858615915000

Per the users manual there is a vaction mode and it is discussed on page 9 of the manual.

The alarms are listed on page 10 of the manual:

The Vacation mode shuts off the fresh food compartment completely and there is not a temp display. The icon is in the lower RH side of the display window and is sleleced with the menu button. Per the manual you should keep depressing the menu button until the Vacation icon is not longer displayed. (Icon is a beach lounger chair and umbrella)

Thanks for choosing FixYa.
