Choose which model of the 2210 all in one series you have, click on Software and Driver Downloads and then click on the button that says Check. This will check to see that you have the most recent version of the driver.
1) Open the HP Director software. Do not click anything else on your screen until Step 2 is completed.
2) Press the Alt key and the Space bar together
3) Select Minimize from the menu that displays in the upper left corner of the window.
If necessary, click it again until HP Director minimizes.
4) The HP Director software now appears as an item on the Task Bar.
5) Click HP Director on the Task Bar. The software opens and displays normally.
6) Repeat the steps above each time the HP Director software is used.
With vista,the scan button is inop(at least it is on my psc 2110).All scanning is now accompished from the windows photo gallery.

I transferred my HP2210 to a new vista computer from XP. Vista installed the printer with no trouble. Now if I try to scan a picture, there is no program to scan. Installed the original HP photo software & it won't scan.The scanner device is installed, I just don't know how to use it.
HP support stinks in that they won't update their drivers for Vista. Booo.
