Can you connection satellite sound to optical input

If they are newer models, they should both have fiber optic input/outputs. If this is the case, you only need that one fiber optic cable which is fairly inexpensive and produces a superior quality. The following link is the cable.

For a simple stereo connection If you have a spare set of inputs (CD, AUX, video but NOT Phono/LP) on your receiver, preamp or whatever makes your speakers make noise that accept a pair of red/white RCA type inputs connect the OUTPUT of either your cable box, satellite receiver or TV audio Left & Right (red & white RCA jacks) to the INPUT of your receiver. If your cable or satellite receiver has a digital OUTPUT (either optical or coaxial) and your receiver has a like INPUT and 5.1 surround sound capability you can connect that to give you a surround sound mix.

Do you have a optical/coaxial input on your system? Eg: cable, TV.I use a optical input on my Yamaha ( cable, satellite ). Look to see if there is a optical/coaxial output on your pvr, there should be. Use ether the optical or coaxial output from your pvr and connect it to the cable (satellite ) optical/coaxial input on your receiver. The manual that came with your Shaw PVR should explain how. You will get 5.1 surround if available on certain channels.I prefer optical over coaxial myself, but they both work well.If you don't have optical/coaxial inputs on your receiver, you will have to use RCA cables, analogue out on cable box, to tape input or aux on your receiver. You will not get surround sound, just stereo. But it's better than nothing.

To listen your TV on your samsung ps wx30 surround sound system ,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "HDMI out " of your TV unit
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your dvd player or "Optic Cable input" or "HDMI input"
** than just switch to respective mode on dvd player corresponding your RCA or Optic connection or HDMI ..
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the dvd player By this means whatever you watch on the
TV (tuner, satellite , Xbox , etc..) ,it's sound will come thru your dvd player.

See if your satellite receiver has a digital out socket in the back ( optic / coaxial ). If so get yourself an optic/coaxial cable and link the TV out to your LG Home Theaters optic/coaxial In.
Now if your Satellite receiver does not have a digital out for sound you will have to connect the TV's audio out to the LG Home Theater Systems Aux / SAT / CBL input using appropriate cables .Either 3.5mm phono to 2RCA or 2 RCA to 2 RCA cables.

did u mean connecting the sound bar to ur tv.
u didn't mentioned the model number of ur sound bar.
any how ur tv has only coaxial digital audio out. no analog audio out. the sound bar may have one digital audio input (optical digital input) and 2 analog inputs. if it has coaxial input it may be very easy.find is there, if not u cant link these devices.
if u are using a satellite receiver then u can connect the optical audio out to ur sound bar's optical input or the analog audio output to any one of the analog audio input.

Hi! It would just be easy. Just prepare RCA cables and connect the cables to the tv and satellite receiver. Link the TV and satellite audio output to the BOSE audio input. Good luck and have a good one!

What model do you have?

You should be able to plug the audio/video output from the satellite TV system into the audio/video input on the JVC system. Then set the JVC system to the appropriate input.

I need to know the exact model to know how or if this is even possible. Some JVC models don't let you input any additional devices. Others might not have the inputs that are necessary for surround.
