These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If power indicator light red and warning indicator red flashing than according to user manual :-
The projector has been cooled down enough and the temperature returns to normal. When turning ON the projector the WARNING indicator stops flashing. CHECK AND CLEAN THE AIR FILTER.
Experience:- 1. if the temperature is very low than temperature sensor maybe misbehave.
2. If anyone fan not working
so please you check fans.
(If lamp or lamp ballast unit faulty than after a time period the lamp indicator light ON not a warning indicator. I experience many times if any fan in projector are broken or jamed the temperature light if present otherwise warning light ON or flashing)
I wish you had received a relevant answer to your question, as I'm experiencing exactly the same thing here. Not sure is this site notifies people when they get responses, but did you ever figure out what the problem was?
be sure and reset the lamp hours. Flash the software if you can. These are also notorious for the ballast cable on the inside of the lamp housing backing out when a lamp is removed or replaced. If you have the cover off push the cables back into place and hold them there as you install the lamp. Also look directely at your lamp in the center and move it side to side and up and down. If there are any cracks or frosty looking spots or bubbles in the mirror of the lamp that are visible, then the lamp is probably shot. If all this fails, most likely it is the power supply, or the lamp door has gotten mishapen from heat and the actuator on the lamp door isn't making full contact with the safety swith.
Just a quick couple of notes about your projector. It is a DLP projector (not LCD) and as such the machine as no air filters to clean. It does have air intake and air exhaust grilles, but no air filters to clean. This next part comes directly from the owner' manual for your projector:
When the lamp operation time exceeds 2000 hours*1 *2, the projector automatically shuts off and can’t be used until the lamp is replaced and the lamp operation time is reset.
Your machine is designed to give visual warning messages at 1500 hours used, and 1900 hours used. Did you see any visual warning about lamp life over the past few months?
If you were experiencing an overheating problem, a "TEMPERATURE!!" message would flash up on the screen just before the unit shuts down. If there is no warning, you don't have a heat problem.
If you have a replacement lamp available, install it and reset the lmap hours according to your user manual. If you don't have the manual, google it on the web (it available).
if the lamp warning light is flashing, this indicates a defective ballast (lamp power module). if the lamp warning light is lit steadily, then the lamp would be at fault.
