if the tray is dead, that means at least the power supply inside is
dead in this nice old DVD DECK , made 2005 or older,
near 2 decades old now,
the manual is here free (1st google hit)
http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/93/YD078ien.pdf
this deck is old. so old no HDMI outputputs at all,
just
raw video/audio
I see 3 possible problems (at least)
the AC cord is not connected to the correct power source, or connect to power strip and it is dead. try direct wall connections AC 120vac if that is what it is. NO country told.
2: the DECK has bad DC power regulators inside
3: the Deck has a jammed up, tray, or disk inside has label falling off and jamming it up or kids put 3 DVD discs inside at once, common with kids.
or worse, there is always that, look inside see all that stuff to fail. yes.
it needs service, find some (a shop that does this ) and try that.?
