Have you connected an FM antenna to your AVR-1907? This is a co-axial socket on the back marked 75 ohm.

Hi
Two dump question and than recommendation..
  • First ;During listening FM ,Your " MUTE" switch is "ON" or "OFF" ? if not how about plain STEREO mode ? did you try it ?
  • Second..how about the other Modes , i.e ..CD ,DVD etc. ? same problem or it happens only in FM ?
ok..now the possible solution;
sometimes FM stations do not properly triggers pro-logic circuit and cause such problem and you need to switch to STEREO or A.F.D mode to listen FM (AFM includes sub woofer)..
This is true for FM only and it should not happen in other modes as DVD ,CD,Phone etc..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

Everything works fine on the unit no problem until

3. If your Nuvi has a FM transmitter, is it selected to "FM" or "Speaker"? The "FM" setting will mute the internal speaker. Setting it to "Speaker" will send sound to the speaker.

if this side of it works then the FM transmitter is faulty

Check that the sound has not been MUTED

plug the earphone into the socket to see if any sound is heard. The socket is also a switch that takes sound from internal speaker to ephone and reverse.
If no sound is hear in either FM or normal mode your unit is faulty and needs repair

Old jvc home stereo

FM stereo will need a good aerial to work properly, but AM doesn't. If you have not got a good aerial, stereo will stay off. Though you might still here the station. It needs a lot of signal to make the stereo light activate. If was to come on in the weak state the sound would be full of interference. So the set keeps it switched off.

No audio

FM station 88.1 or similar. Set radio to scan while dvd is playing. When the correct frequency is reached, you'll hear sound.
