The sudden power cut-off can either blow the fuse or corrupt the system of DVDs.but, some DVDs has protection for this occurrence.try not to use it for sometime.then if it's well rested try turning it on see if is resets it's protection circuit.if not, a new unit or call a technician for it.

Hello, I have had my Home Theate packed for a few years now. I have 2 Toshiba remotes. Neither of them operate the system. One is an SE-R0094 and the other remote is an NB001. I tried new batteries in...

The SE-R0094 is the original remote for the SD-KT50. So should work with it unless it's faulty.
You can get the service manual for the SD-KT50, that might give you clues as to why it doesn't work. It's free the manual, just type the model number into Google.

The Open/close does not work. Power is on and it

First try resetting the player. Unplug for 1/2 hour-1hr., press and hold power button for 3 seconds, wait 1/2 hour, plug back in and it should work. Otherwise you can pry open the door with a paper clip. Slowly pull door as far back as it will go, then press eject button and see if everything aligns itself back on track.
