When i click on training it causes a crash dump

here are instruction to fix crash dumo to your sega football manager 2011

Step 1shock.gifpen up your steam
Step 2: Go onto your games list
Step 3: Right click on Football Manager and select properties
Step 4: Select the Local files tab on the far right
Step 5: Click the option Verify integrity of game cache
Step 6: Click the option Defragment game cache
It should now be complete

this worked for me

I'm sure there are other people out there who have had there game destroyed by Crash Dumps errors, sometimes screwing your save, sometimes even preventing you from starting new games forcing you to re-install only to come across the same problem later down the line.

So here is my 2 part guide to Crash Dumps, part 1 is how to set your game up to minimize the chances of your game ever getting this error, and part 2 is what to do to recover your save (If possible) and get your game back to a working state if you had this error already. Part 1 pretty much lists all issues that cause Crash Dumps and to set your self up to prevent it from happening.

Crash Dumps Prevention

There are certain things that increase your chances of getting an error, here is a list

1) FMRTE - Just dont go there, it screws your data base up beyond repair, you will not be able to get your corrupt save back if you have used this editor. Sometimes its been to known to cause damage to your windows registry too, unless SI make an official in game editor, using third party programs like this is all to risky stay away.

2) Size of Game - Even though I believe I have found the solutions to 99% of crash dump issues, it does not change the fact the game is not without major issues, the games coding causing endless memory leaks that lead to Crash Dumps errors.
So what I'm saying is try to go easy on your database size, either slow or at most medium size data base when starting a new game.
Also dont go crazy with the amount of leagues you select to be playable, if you have a good system 10 leagues at max.
If you must have lots of leagues and large data base I recommend you have at least 6GB of DDR2 or DDR3 ram, if you have an older system DDR ram will not cut it for crazy data base sizes.

3)Everything Up to Date ? - Make sure the following are up to date
+ Graphics Card Driver (Use manfactures site, sometimes windows will not find the most up to date driver)
+ Java - Make sure you have the latest Version
+Direct X - Latest Version your system is compatible with

4) General Settings in Game These are optional but I recommend you use these settings to prevent errors.
Uncheck the following boxes
+Use Skin Cache
+ Enable Data Collection (This is an important one, it will stop FM constantly building up the RAM useage and prevent Crash Dumps)
+ Play in Windowed Mode, Minimize, and Maximize Every Hour.
+ Disable sounds, and 3D cameras, the 3D sucks anyway text all the way.
+Play with Autosave weekly, 3 file rolling save for back ups, better safe than sorry.
+ Uncheck Threading, if you have a Dual Core processor, you do not need this to be checked, it takes away a complication. However if you have one processor with Threading technology keep it ticked, other wise the game performance will be poor.

5) Your Hardware Before Playing FM 2010 you need to be confident your hardware is all fully working, so you can rule that out if you need to trouble shoot in case you get the Crash Dump.
Consider and do the following before installing the game

+Power Supply - Is it at a high enough Voltage for my Graphics card ?, find out and upgrade power supply if need be, you should not be using a Graphics card if your power supply is under the recommended amount, your system will become very unstable, let alone Football Manager.

+Hard Drive Error Free, run Chkdsk, a windows tool to see if your hard drive has any errors.
To run chekdsk press the windows button and R, then in the run box type in CMD, the in the black command box type in chkdsk and press enter.
You should have a report of no errors, or windows will fix errors

+ Faulty RAM - This was the culprit for me, run a program called MEMTEST86, you need to download and Burn it to CD, restart your PC with the CD in the drive and let it scan.
If you are error free all good, if not note which RAM slot is reporting errors, remove or replace that RAM.http://www.memtest86.com/

+Dust Bunnies - Your system would be unstable in general if you have these, if it is a little unstable check the innards of your PC for obvious dust, blow to free dust from sensitive areas.

If you ever get Blue Screen errors while browsing, gaming, multi tasking, then Football Manager will certainly Crash Dump you ***.

Okay if you follow all these steps prior to installing your game you are very unlikely to get the crash dumps error again.

Have football manager 2010 it installed fine but wont run!

There are two different versions of the game available for PC and MAC, a 'strawberry' and 'vanilla' version, with both providing half a season of gameplay.
PC
OS: Windows XP/Vista/W7
Processor: XP: 1.4GHz or Faster / Vista/W7 : 2.0GHz or Faster
Supported Processors: Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core, AMD Athlon
Memory: XP: 512MB RAM / Vista/W7: 1.0GB RAM
Hard Drive Space: 2GB
DVD-Drive: 4x Speed
Video Card: 128MB *Supported Chipsets : (see below)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Directx: Version 9.0c (included)
LAN: TCP/IP compliant
Input: Keyboard, Mouse

*Supported Chipsets - Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 or greater; Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater. Earlier cards may only display 2D Match Viewer Mode and are not supported. Earlier cards may require the DirectX 9.0 SDK is installed to run the game. To download DirectX Software Development Kit click here.

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.

Mac
Intel Processor, OS X 10.5, NVidia Geforce 7300 GT / ATI X1600 Radeon

SOLUTION 1:
1. Right click on the game icon, select Properties and click the tab Compatibility,
2. Select the proper compatibility mode for your PC,
3. Run the game.
This may solve your problem.
SOLUTION 2:
While many different errors and problems may occur while attempting to run a game within Windows (from corruption in graphics and sound to black screens on loading or crashing) the majority can be quite easily fixed with some input from the user. To see General Windows Troubleshooting (for crashes, graphic and sound issues etc) to solve the problem click here.
SOLUTION 3:
Using Daemon tools software you can mount the game image (virtual drive) and by installing the game you can manage to play. Click here to download Daemon Tools.

I hope this helps you.

Okay, please repeat the problem and symptoms, that was a bit out of sorts.
This is what I got:
You were trying to play Football Manager 2009, but when you loaded up the game, you got error code "invalid token."
if so;
You need to clear your cache files. Do this without the game running.

How to delete your Cache files

First of all you need to turn on hidden files and folders. Go to My Computer and at the top select 'Tools' the 'Folder Options'. The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Windows XP:
1. Open “My Computer”
2. Navigate to : “Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\
3. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder.
4. Go into the “Football Manager 09” Folder.
5. Delete the folder called "Cache"

Wndows Vista:
1. Click “Start”
2. Click your username on the start Menu
3. Click on “AppData” and then “Roaming”
4. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder
4. Go into the “Football Manager 09” Folder.
5. Delete the folder called "Cache"

Mac OSX
1. Open Finder.
2. Select <User>
3. Navigate to Library\Caches\Sports Interactive
4. Go into the “Football Manager 09” Folder.
5. Delete the "Cache" Folder.
5. In the 'Library' Folder look for the 'preferences' folder.
6. Go into the “Football Manager 09” Folder.

Football manager 2009 xml parsing error

If you have a shortcut on your desktop you can do the following:
  • Right-click on the FM shortcut.
  • Choose "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
  • In the "Target" field, add the --reset_preferences command line option after "fm.exe", so it should look like this:
    "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" --reset_preferences
  • Press OK and then try to run the game as normal, using the shortcut.

You'll want to remove the command after you run the game, as otherwise it will continue to reset your preferences every time you launch.

If you don't have a shortcut you can make one and then perform the instructions on the shortcut you've made.

Mouse cursor flickers and dissapears on Football Manager 2009

It seems to me that the memory for your graphics card is not enough to play the game .64MB is quite small for that sort of game. If you check the mininum requirements for your game .
