Mouse cursor flickers and dissapears on Football Manager 2009
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ21E
2 GB RAM
Nvidia 8400GT 64 Mb dedicated graphics
Running Vista Home Premium
I installed Football Manager 2009 via steam and activated and it played fine. Then after 2 weeks the mouse cursor just starts flickering and dissapearing making it impossible to play the game. Although it plays ok via the short cuts and has no problems showing 3D match graphics. I have uninstalled it and steam and reinstalled the traditional way, upgraded all of my drivers for my PC, defragged, cleaned up, adjusted all graphics options back to basic and 1024 x 768 and it is all to no avail. All my other programmes are running fine although the internet is slower for some reason as well.
i have exactly the same problems it has the odd flicker but apart from that is invisible i have still played through it it is just that bit harderi have exactly the same problems it has the odd flicker but apart from that is invisible i have still played through it it is just that bit harder
I have exactly the same problem. It dissapears and reappears at random moments. I have exactly the same problem. It dissapears and reappears at random moments.

Re: Mouse cursor flickers and dissapears on Football...
It seems to me that the memory for your graphics card is not enough to play the game .64MB is quite small for that sort of game. If you check the mininum requirements for your game .
Hi, have you check the mouse setting in the control panel?
I think your mouse has a problem if you can verify that the setting is normal.
I would suggest you try with different mouse to narrow down the problem.
Hope this help.

From the looks of things after searching Google, it looks like Sony has admitted that there is a factory issue with that laptop and that video board. Contact Sony for a factory repair.

IF YOU CHANGE THE MB.. SHOULD THE PCU IS COMPATIBLE WITH THEN MB.. ABOUT THE RAM SHOULD BE COMPATIBLE ALSO...LOOK THE COMPATIBLITY OF YOUR SPESIFICATION OF YOUR SYSTEM.... THE VIDEO GRAPHICS ACTUALLY IS BUILT IN THE MB JUST INSTALL THE RIGHT DRIVER.. ABOUT THE BIOS NO NEED TO RESET.. AFTER THE FIXING THE MB..FORMAT YOU HDD. OR INSTALL NEW ONE NOT OLD.. BECAUSE NEW MB.. IF YOU USE THE OLD OS YOU WILL MEET A LOT OF PROBLEM,, LIKE BLUE SCREENN,, AUTOSHUT OFF,, SOUND NOT WORKING, OR ANY POSIBLE BECAUSE OF FEATURES SOMTIMES.
Unfortunately, Dedicated video memory cannot be changed. Only the Allocated system memory. The dedicated video memory is onboard memory, like a video card in a desktop machine has it's own RAM. Your out of luck, unfortunately.
