I just shot a little three minute movie on my hitachi and I need to upload it onto my computer so I can add it to a presentation due tomorrow in class. I am using the usb cord to connect it to my pc. I have installed everything from the startup disk but I don't know how to upload the video onto my computer...nothing I have tried has worked. Any help would be much appreciated.

When you connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable, wait for few seconds for the computer to recognize the new member.. Now check under "My computer" ... You will have a new drive letter that represents your camera.
Double click on the camera drive letter and open it up as you normally do with other drives .. You can copy the images or videos from the drive to your computers desktop.

Follow these steps
Create a YouTube Account
First, go to youtube.com and create an account. To do this,
click on the 'Sign Up' button at the top of the screen. Fill out all of the
requested information. An email will be sent to you asking you to confirm your
email address. Click the link in the email to confirm.
Customize Your YouTube Profile
Next, you can customize your profile by clicking on your
username at the top of the screen. You can choose to add a photo, video logs,
favorite videos, subscribers, and friends.
Fill in the Video Upload Information
To upload a video, go to the upload page by clicking on
'Upload' in the upper right corner of the homepage. On this page, fill out your
video information including title, description, and tags. Tags are key words
used to describe your video. They help people search and locate videos on
Youtube.
Adjust Video Settings
Next, you can choose to broadcast your video publicly or
privately. There are also date and map options that let viewers know where and
when the video was produced. Lastly, you can customize your sharing options
including comments, video responses, ratings, and embedding.
Upload the Video to YouTube
The next step is to upload your video onto YouTube from your
computer. Click on 'Upload Video' to find a video file on your computer. Next,
click the browse button to search for the file you want to upload. Double click
on the file and it will appear in the text box. Click on 'Upload Video.'
Video Upload Specs
Youtube will accept AVI, WMV, MOV, and MPG files. However,
the video file must be no larger than 100MB, and no longer than 10 minutes. The
longer the video, the larger the file will be.
Watching and Deleting Videos
It may take a few minutes to upload your video. You can see
the progress with the blue bar. When your video has finished uploading, you can
access it in My Videos. If you want to remove the movie, click 'Remove Movie'
underneath the video icon in My Videos.
