I need to remove the freezer drawer of the Liebherr CS2062 refrigerator because the ice maker became unplugged. The hanging wire from the ice maker keeps hitting against inside back of the drawer. How do I take out the freezer drawer to fix the ice maker?

There are several things you can do to check the suitability of your freezer settings ... (eg: if you put a small container of water in the freezer...
Is it mostly frozen in about 45 minutes??

Things that would aid in trouble shooting...

Liebherr nomenclature: model number...???
New... or new to you?

Had previously worked... Never worked.

General observations... Frost forming in back of freezer area
Doors square and fitting properly...
Gasket in full contact (visibly) all the way around the freezer door/drawer... and is in good condition
- (can physically check by pulling a dollar around the gasket).

If the Ice Maker has EVER worked ... We can skip the basics of checking the water supply is hooked up and TURNED ON.

If you can fit your fingers in the ice tray to feel for water or ice in
the tray ... that would also be helpful.

Finally... for new models... check that all packing tape & materials around the ice-maker have been remove.

Although your model appears to be a TWIST TRAY type of ice-maker... there is still a sweep or fill bar that is supposed to check the fill level of your ice bin.

A single chip of ice can hold that from moving freely... your ice maker will not work ... !!

Are you talking about the center door gaskets? If so, Purchase new gaskets Left and Right (2 different part numbers) from Adco Service of Scottsdale AZ. The gaskets pull out from the two grooves and put liquid soap in the new gasket channel that holds the heater wire. Observe the channel where the wire came from.. Insert the heater wire slowly until it is at the end. Starting at the top, insert the gasket tongue that is towards the inside if the refrigerator first all the way down, then insert the side at the edge of the door. Be sure to firmly seat the gasket

I don't know about this ice maker, but you could always check the Owner's Manual (either the one that came with fridge, or an online copy) for re-attachment info. That's something basic that the manual may very well cover.

The ice maker is easy to remove once you get the drawer off the slides. There are two plastic clips located near the back of the drawer that attach it to the slides. Pop those out and lift the drawer out. Pull off the plastic ice maker cover to expose the mounting screws. Remove the two screws holding the assembly to the top of the freezer, then slide the ice maker forward about 1/2 inch. It will drop down a few inches, allowing you to unplug the wiring connector and remove it as a unit. The ice full guide is then easily removed.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very,very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system.The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater,heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Well, that wire is likely the cause of your issue, somebody probably bent it, and now it gets caught on the door or a basket or a food item or what have you, and since it cannot move, the ice maker will not make ice.

I found a high density foam and a plastic retainer under the freezer drawer, inspected ice maker and found a wire with a rectangular senser hanging down. Removed freezer drawer and door to gain access to icemaker. Reinstalled foam piece and plastic retainer to lower front of icemaker (there are recess and a small retainiing tab) Reassembled freezer door and drawer, system working normally
