Viking VESO 530SS Oven. Self clean light flashing.

Question edited for clarity.

The whole idea of Self Clean feature is to keep the makers into steady sales of spare parts. The components can only tolerate those temperatures for a number of cycles before elements, door locks and control boards start failing. Consumers don't realize the heat involved!

between 800°F and 900°F Self-cleaning ovens bring the heat so you don't have to spend hours scrubbing. Traditional self-cleaning cycles heat the oven between 800°F and 900°F, helping turn soil and spills to a powdery ash you can then wipe away. They utilize only heat-no chemicals-and are built to withstand high temperatures. (except they aren't)
Either the door lock has failed or the control board has failed.

How do I cancel a delayed start when trying to use self clean on Kenmore oven 807189701 Rev B

Unplug the power and cancel it. Never Ever use the self clean feature. We see damage here every couple of weeks. The worst was a burned control board on an oven that all parts were obsolete, so the self clean cost a thousand bucks!

No heat on convection or self clean

If you have been using the self clean feature, you have probably burned out or damaged the connections to the fan and the convection fan element or thermistor. NEVER EVER use the self clean feature.

How do I operate my self-cleaning oven..no manual..

Thank you for your post, Pattie Cromie!

I see that you would like to operate self-clean on your Frigidaire range and you do not have the manual. Typically, to start self-clean you would need to push the button labeled "Self-clean" and make sure there is nothing inside the oven before starting a self-clean cycle. Also before starting self-clean close the door because of the temperatures that are created within the oven the door needs to be closed and locked. I hope this has been beneficial. -Matt

Kitchenaid oven racks fall

I am a bit late on this question, but just ended up in a rabbit hole of unanswered Kitchenaid questions

The self cleaning features only serves to keep manufacturers in steady sales of parts. Quite simply the oven can only take those temperatures a few times until they break. The heat burns out elements, damages fans, door locks and worst of all damages control boards which are not far enough from the heat source. You problem sounds like the walls of the oven have buckled in the heat so the racks no longer fit. Too late now, but you should have taken Kitchenaid to court, the oven was not fit for purpose under the description they used to sell it to you.

Never use the self cleaning feature as stated here

Our over will not start the self clean....the monitor beeps with the message door.....

Try pressing in on the handle while you select the cleaning cycle.
It's saying that it cannot engage the safety lock which it needs to do before cranking up the temperature to the ~900 degrees needed to start the catalytic action that does the cleaning.
If the door isn't adjusted well, the lock may not be able to disengage either when the temperature has dropped to a safe level.
Before you try pressing in the door, check around the edges of it to make sure the spacing is the same around it. If you can see discernible differences from left to right or the top isn't close enough, the door may be slightly twisted.
