Check gasket for rips or damage. Replace if necessary.
Clean gasket after every use. Wipe with a bleachy rag. Use only HE detergent in small amounts.Dog hair, etc can get stuck in the gasket causing a small leak. Oversudsing can also cause leaks.
The part number for the bellow (name for the front seal) is W10189283 it should run about $40.00. It is held on by a spring ring in the front and a screw clamp from the bellow to tub connection. Here is a link to a parts breakdown picture that should help. The bellow is part #1 in this image.
yes they can, the bellow seal is about $100 and take care when removing the outer tub spring and the front seal spring so you don't kink these or the new seal will leak around the edges
Most likely cause is the door seal or proper name for part is door bellows where the door seal to the machine. Check for tears or rips inside the bellows and any cuts where the door meets the seal. The seal could also be pronated toward the inner tub too much just from wear. The seal would need to be replaced. Also make sure the door is locking. The reason it happens with the towels (heavy load) is b/c they put more pressure on the door making it easier to break the water tight seal. Please rate this post.
I need some one to tell me how to install the rubber seal on a bosch maxx Eurowasher front loader washing machine. Part of the seal ripped off so water leaks out. Its only 6 months old and its not covered by warranty.
The rubber door boot (bellow) commonly wears out on these front loaders. A replacement will run you about $80 just for the bellow. Labor could run as high as $180 if you decide to hire someone to replace it for you. If you wish to perform the repairs yourself, post back with your intentions and I can provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to replace it. It is labor intensive as you will have to remove the entire washer front in order to do the job right. It IS possible, however, if you wish to pursue a repair option on your own. Just let me know.
PS I can also provide you with the part number if you reply with your washer model number (found along the door opening).
