LG drains and fills at same time.

The dishwasher fills with water. Near the end of the fill the drain pump begins to drain and the fill stops shortly after. Then the unit continues to drain until empty. Then the unit tries to wash the dishes but there is no water.

We have a Candy CDI2012/E-02 32900347 1330 3315 dishwasher from around 2013 that once stopped working about 3 years ago. A constant beeping signaled the problem after trying to initiate the washing cycle. Not remembering the details, replacing the controller card (~€50 ebay) fixed the problem at that time.

Now we had a problem again, similar to the one above. Once any of the programs was started, the dishwasher would first drain any remaining water (if detected any), then fill for a few seconds, then start draining/refilling again for about 3 times in a row until the controller detected there was something wrong. Again, everything stopped with a constant beeping. Replacing the controller card did not help this time.

There were actually two independent problems: We noticed that the inlet water hose was kinked. Thus, only little water would enter. Straightening the hose did not solve the problem, though.

We then thought it may be the flow meter. But it is extremely simple in this machine, turned nicely and did not seem to be the culprit.

However, we noticed some deposits in the water reservoir that also connects to the inside of the dishwasher. These calcareous deposits apparently clogged one of the channels. This may have induced some pressure difference, which the controller apparently interpreted as some water level problem. Unmounting the water reservoir with the built-in impeller, dissolving the clogging with toilet descaling agent solved the problem: the dishwasher is working again.

Actually, no electronic parts had to be replaced.

This is caused by the " the flood" circuit at the bottom of the dishwasher that detects some water leak. Once this circuit detects any water on the bottom of the washer, it immediately switches the pump out circuit on. It consists of a polystyrene float coupled to a micro switch. You need to dry the bottom and then check for leaks (hose or hose clamp).

SOURCE: LG 6810ST Dishwasher- OE Error Code

SInce the drain hose is not plugged or kinked, the next step if to remove the filter that is beneath the lower rack done in the sump area. Remove approximately 10 phillips screws.
Inspect for debris in the mesh filter and underneath it, especially the drain outlet.
Reassemble and retest with a quick cycle.
If problems persist, suspect a failing pump motor. Schedule professional repair is recommended.

SOURCE: LG LDF6810 Dishwasher Starts filling with water then pumps water

Because you are not getting an error message, I agree that the controller card is malfunctioning. Almost everthing else would triger an error.
Recommend replacing the controller card.

Pull the plug to reset the control board and see if that resolves the issue. Good luck.

E1 means a leak has been detected . Check hose connections .Or drain hose height.1E would be water pressure issue.See service manual

Why my AEG F55080vi stops after drain cycle (program beginning) and then it stops and I hear 2 beeps and 2 flash continuously?

Definitely, water drain time-out. Error code i20.
The pressure switch doesn't return to EMPTY (1-2) after two drain phases lasting 120 seconds.
Possible causes:
Drain circuit obstructed/blocked; drain pump
interrupted or jammed (foreign bodies); level
pressure switch blocked on FULL (1-3); hydraulic
circuit of pressure switch obstructed; wiring faulty;
circuit board faulty.

Thanks to your detailed description of failure I conclude that in drain phase (after starts drain pump) leaks water and causing a short circuit. I would thoroughly reviewed drain hydraulic circuit. If is alarm displayed and there is no water inside dishwasher then check heater and anti-interference suppressor.

Dishwasher cavitates. I have a Smeg DI612CA9

Does the drain hose loop up to the top of the unit before going to the sink drain? If it goes down first it may be siphoning or draining by gravity.

Brand new SGS57A02GB just fitted. Run initial cleaning wash to get rid of factory water. Drain starts then stops, starts filling, goes through 2 filling cycles then the drain pump starts. The drain pump...

Hi,

This problem is mostly caused by the drain pump or a restricted drain line. Try taking the end of the drain hose off under the sink and re-checking the drain-out condition. If the unit is still not draining, I recommend replacing the drain pump.

Other possibilities could be that the sump is blocked, or the control or harness may need to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

Model: Frigidaire GPDB998JC0 It fills and drains

Check your water level to see if the water valve is even filling up properly. After starting the cycle, listen when the water fillup begins and ends. Open door and see if there is enough water at the bottom. Should fill up to the float valve. If there is not enough water, the valve needs to be replaced. Costs about $25 and can be replaced diy if you are handy with pushing back the hose clamp and undoing and redoing the water line connection.
Make sure you unplug the electric, and shut off the water before you even want to look behind the toe plate. Dishwashers have high electric hazard behind the toe plate..

Hi, I installed LG dishwasher, control board is working, water is coming from the water line but when hooked up to the dishwasher and dishwasher is on, there is no water coming into the dishwasher....

it should drain a bit of water out before it fills when it first starts. if that water doesn't drain out then you may have a drain pump fault. You can test this by dumping a few glasses of water into the machine then starting it up ( you should hear it drain that water out)
if that worked... then you have a fill solenoid fault or a line filter fault. You can check power to the fill solenoid or give it a couple of taps when its suppose to be filling to see if its just stuck. the inline filter could be plugged where you hook up the water supply to the machine (clean it or take it right out)

Miele G 7856 Commercial Dishwasher

Hi. The above machine stops mid cycle and drain/fill light is on, also error code F3E, have cleaned both hot and cold water inlet filters, also checked drain pump and drain line, all ok. Machine drains with no issues and fills with hot water, runs for a while then shuts down.
Any ideas?

Bosch Dishwaher shy56a

Bosch dishwashers have a seperate pump for washing and another for draining. Try making it fill more than once. There is usually a timed fill and the float stops it before it overfills It also might prevent it from washing without enouth water Try defeating the door switch and play with the float during fill. There may be a sensor that won't let it go into wash. Be prepared to get a little wet if it should start up suddenly. A slightly safer way is to fill it with the sprayer from the sink. and see if it will go into wash.

D3250 drain blocked error

usually these are blocked at the discharge end under the sink, especially if the hose is hooked to a copper pipe then shoved down the plumbing standpipe. It could also be in the hose behind the dishwasher if someone has fitted an extension onto the hose and used a small diameter coupler. Run the dishwasher on any cycle...if there is standing water you should hear the drain pump run first...if there is no standing water run it on a rinse and hold cycle. at the end of the cycle the pump will run. if you hear the pump, but no water is ejected out the drain hose under the sink, then you most likely have a clog in the hose near the end or in the middle if it has an extensio. if you dont hear the pump run, then its a bad pump and you need a new one (parts like that are covered for 5 years if you use an ASKO servicer) Good luck!
